Hey, since when do you write Twilight?

So. Yeah. Am back to my favorite writing exercise, ascending drabbles (100 words, 200 words, etc.) on a new character, in this case Alice Cullen. The idea came from wanting to understand more about Alice Cullen's backstory, and because everything I do is better as a crossover, I've done so in some cases. Information from the books and a Twiki.

Graceful, She Falls
The five senses of Alice, upon awakening
Twilight stories

~~~
Sight (Alice) )
Sound (The Doctor) )
Scent (Duncan MacLeod) )
Taste (Jack Harkness) )
Touch (Jasper Whitlock) )
Rating: PG-13 overall for some violence
Disclaimer: Twilight belongs to Stephenie Meyer. Highlander belongs to Davis/Panzer et al. Torchwood and Doctor Who are in the good hands of the BBC.
Sometimes, when I'm in the middle of a very long fic (NCIS/SGA at 32,000 words 4srsktnx), I like to try a little writing exercise. Today's exercise is a set of ascending drabbles (100 words, then 200 words, etc.) on a character I've never ficced before. Results are:
Papa was a rodeo (Mama was a rock n' roll band)
The five stages of grief of Dr. Jeanne Benoit
five NCIS crossovers
~~~

Denial (Bones) )
Anger (Highlander) )
Bargaining (Supernatural) )
Depression (Pretender) )
Acceptance (Gilmore Girls) )

Talking Hands
An NCIS story

Summary: Five ways Jethro Gibbs may have learned sign language.
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: CBS owns all NCIS. I'm only borrowing and will return all at the end of the fic.
Spoilers: Spoilers for season three on NCIS, nothing more recent.
Characters: Jethro Gibbs, mentions of Shannon, Kelly, Jen, Abby.
Word count:: 1,400
Note: Because we know why Abby knows sign language, but not Gibbs. I came up with five different ways it might have happened, and worked in my favorite theory in the end because the relationship between Gibbs and Abby is such a paternal one.

Five ways Gibbs learned sign language. )

Disclaimer: Russell T. Davis and the BBC own the Doctor. The rest belong to their respective creators.
Rating: PG-13 for language and graphic imagery

Characters/Pairings: The Doctor (Ten) and Buffy Summers
Words: 3,370

Part I: Azkadelia (Tinman)
Part II: Buffy Summers (BtVS)
Part III: Dean Winchester (SPN)
Part IV: Nathaniel Graison (AB)

Buffy's boots sounded a soft rat-a-tat on the paving stones as she crossed a street in shadows. A cafe on the corner, full of laughing teenagers and cozy couples, held the promise of normality, if only for a few minutes. Her steps never faltered. She had lived through too much for 'normal'.  )

This is me goofing around. Also, my first Dr. Who fic. Fun times, I say.

Part IV: Nathaniel Graison (AB)

Azkadelia stood atop the tower, all of Central City stretched out before her, glittering in the dark. )

Five Men Lorelai Gilmore Probably Shouldn't Have Kissed
Two drabbles, two double drabbles and a weirdly snarkastic ficlette, all crossover style

Kindred the Embraced: Post series
Stargate Atlantis: In the middle of the Return Part 1 (3x10).

Notes: I feel better now that this is out of my system. Really, I do. The initiative came to me as I was trying to figure out exactly how I could make a crossover of the Gilmore Girls, because that's what I do.

The One With The Daddy Issues (Richard Zeeman, Anita Blake) )

The One With The Mrs. Robinson Issues (Sam Winchester, Supernatural) )

The One With the Vampire Issues (Frank Kohanek, Kindred The Embraced) )
