i'm of course wondering if Dumbles meant for his death (? maybe? probably.) to happen this way. to force Harry out into the world. you're doing a much better job than JKR at making Dumbledore into a character i can have some faith in, regardless of the fact that you've let him keep some secrets. he doesn't ignore Harry as much, i'm thinking, although that may be because Harry's got his beast, and some confidence, and is therefore more willing to stand up and ask for answers.
