I think that it's the ending. That if we shelter kids from thinking about these things, then these things won't happen. Which isn't *life*.
I recently reread BtT, and I was a wreck for hours. That books destroys me as much as it gives me hope, Jesse's reaction and his way of dealing.
I have yet to let myself watch the movie. I couldn't go to the theatre because I knew I'd be crying too hard to drive home.
