Ah, my luck is totally running per usual with discovering fabulously enjoyable new WIP crossovers. In other words, yet another that's gone on hiatus while other stories get front-burnered.
Hi. I just discovered The Physics of the Spin and read it all (for WIP values of "all") up in one sitting. I can't resist stories featuring Rodney, even when he's not actually in the stories (well, he has been in, um, one scene? two? so far). And insane crossovers are another weakness of mine. And Rodney's a daddy stories (though usually that's because he's so adorably horrified by having to interact with a toddler). And Vala - I just adore her.
But, regardless of Rodney's actual amount of screen time, PotS is an engrossing read. The Gilmore Girls characters all feel spot-on, though to be honest I stopped watching around s3 or s4; the SGC characters feel equally authentic and I can speak with a bit more certainty there as I've seen every episode of both SG1 and SGA.
Now one particular thing that both Gilmore Girls and SG1/SGA have is a setting (meaning Stars Hollow, SGC headquarters and also Atlantis) that is almost a character in its own right. And you've captured the quirkiness of the Hollow and the insane logic of the SGC (ex. Save the World betting pools!) beautifully. I'm very much looking forward to seeing what you do with Atlantis.
It's 5am and I'm seriously needing to get to bed or I'd continue on for a while longer. What else did I want to say? Oh! How I found your story. I found your story via a rec in chandri's journal, where I'm following her SGA WIP Catalysis. I'm actually kinda surprised I didn't find it at TtH.... Also, swift and easy writing on your story Inevitable (so you can get back to PotS).
