I'm glad you liked the chapter :) I like writing chapters in which lots of things happen, setting the stage for future mishaps.

NCIS does seem to be about found family, doesn't it? Abby lives and breaths NCIS, Tony's so dissociated from his father, McGee had Gibbs stand up for him with his sister, Gibbs has made the NCIS crew his new family, and Ziva literally killed her brother to save Gibbs. I think the best character-driven shows are like that. Hrm. I sense some meta coming on.
