Thanks so much for your kind words! I wanted to write this as a story where there is character growth, and as you say there is more to growth that getting back to where one once was.
I'm getting back to Physics of the Spin (the GG/SGA crossover) next - I got caught up in this story and in the new job, but things are starting to level off now :)
When I write new characters (for me, this was the first time in writing Ziva) I really try and get to a point where I can see their good side -- everyone thinks that they have a good side, and that's how I write people... it's really difficult to write a non-sympathetic character in a way that people will follow. It makes for some interesting mental gymnastics sometimes :)
This is all part of my plan to convince everyone that crossovers are the new black :)
