That would explain why she's latched onto Harry. Like Harry -- like Nathaniel (hell, like all of us, really) -- she needs to know that she has a purpose (or more than one, preferably). She's forever trying to justify her own existence. Harry is her newest justification for living, but he's becoming so much more than that. This is upsetting to people like Micah and Richard, but Nathaniel seems not to mind, as he seems to understand Harry better, perhaps, than anyone else in Anita's circle.
