Ouch, that *had* to smart!

Well, the solid organic waste by-product has definitely hit the rotating gas (as in the state, not the substance) re-distribution device. ^_^

Well, after this part it's no longer just a guess that all the preternatural community went "underground" again, a few centuries ago. Given how "out" they were in the late 20th century, I don't even want to imagine how long it took or how hard they had to work at it. I mean, just look how much work is put into keeping the rubes ignorant in the Harry Potter books. And then remember that the magical community there has the benefits of about a thousand years of hiding the truth from the masses.

Of course, the two main questions now are: Where's Damien, and how Jean-Claude ended up in such a bad state that Anita was honestly ready to end his existence because she felt the only thing left was the Beast/monster?!? (Asking if the individuals responsible are still around or not is, however, not in my top ten questions about this story. If any of them are, it's because they're either innocent dupes or were smart/lucky enough to set things up so Anita considered killing them less important than something else. In the later case, they're going to be looking over their shoulder at least once an hour for the rest of their existence.)

Sorry for not commenting on Inevitable, lately. I generally prefer to post when I have something useful (and at least *slightly* on-topic) to post about. Just posting "Great chapter! More please!" (No matter how much I want to. ^_^) isn't something I normally do.

The Apprentice

Who can't help but wonder if the travelers are going to offer a "bonus" payment in the next chapter.
