Firefly rambles

So we've all seen, in Firefly fanfic, the pairing name for River/Jayne: Rayne.

Today I saw a story that was Zoe/Jayne, and the author had deemed it Zayne. So this means:

Mal/Jayne = Mayne (rather appropriate for two such manly men, neh?)
Simon/Jayne = Sayne (which it's NOT)
Inara/Jayne = Inayne (which it would have to be)

I've been working too hard.

I'm easy to please when it comes to pairings as long as they're written in a believable way. That said, in all the numerous Firefly fanfics I've read, there has been one Jayne/Inara that I've liked, and it wasn't exactly a pairing.

What, besides thinking up squished together pairing names, are you up to?

I am proofreading the driest of dry material known to man. No, it's not fic, sadly.

I am wanting to write Inevitable, but I have a CD release party to go to tonight. Blarg. Tomorrow? Well, that's a long story, that involves more of the same. Maybe I'll block out some Candlelight while I'm at dinner tonight.

Eh. I'm bored out of my mind but not feeling creative in the least. I'm thinking about reading fic. Possibly. If I don't get off the internet (*gasp*) to go see if there's any figure skating on tv.

There's all that charming Olympic stuff. Not having tv (and possessing all the interest in sports of a peanut), I haven't been paying much attention.

It's a cool band. http://www.dreamtheory.net. It's hard to classify, but you can listen to a couple of their songs on the page if you want. Sort of melancholy pop (that's really not a good description). My friends all know the band, so it'll be like old home week.

And I'll get away from these bloody pages. I'm actually starting to see the word "synergy" when I close my eyes.
