titling chapters

I want to title the next chapter of Inevitable, "The Chekov Principle", because it's the one in which I hang a fully loaded vampire power on the wall.

Instead, what should I name the next chapter of Inevitable?

[Poll #1048346]

PS: Not all things referenced above will appear in the chapter.
PPS: I need to use the poll option before my paid account runs out. Whoohoo! I have more time! I love you guys :D

See, now you've got me liking 'The Chekov Principle' as a title, and nothing else will do! :D

I know. I like the title too, even if it hadn't got much to do with the content of the chapter. Oh well, it's not as if the other chapters are deeply related to the titles ;)

HA HA HA I FORCE YOU TO WRITE MORE POLLS

ZOMG YOU WILL. I owe you rum and peaches*!

I suggest a poll to decide what!

See what you just did? Now I'll be twisted in a pretzel-like shape until I read the next chapter of Inevitable?

What's that with a "fully loaded vampire power" hung on the wall? (the image of having the ardeur hanging over the fireplace is *not* helping here)?
Because, they (Anita and Harry) are going to meet Dumbledore. And possibly, Snape. And now, with a hint of a vamp power into the mix? I'm bitting my nails... Argh... need... chapter... now!

The fully... k, the "power" in question here isn't the ardeur, because bringing the ardeur onside while she's in a school of kids (and of Snape - EW) is bad. I'm going to be bringing up one of the vamp powers Anita acquired along the way as a handy set up to the bitter end of this story. May as well remind the audience now so no one calls foul when it pops up :)

And yes, Anita and Harry will meet up with ole' Dumbles. After this stupid conversation. They're hard to write, because they usually end up shouting at each other. Oh, those wacky characters we write...

I hope Dumbles has a large supply of Calm The Fuck Down laid in, courtesy of Snape. (Or some HeadOn that can be applied directly to the forehead!)

I don't think anything Dumbedore can do will calm Anita down. In fact, anything he tries will probably have the opposite reaction. She *really* doesn't like him.

Actually, I like "The Chekov Principle".

Yeah, the more I think about it, the more I like it too :)

I made my selection, but I do have to say I do like 'The Chekov Principle'. I think that one's a keeper.

It is starting to grow on me. And it certainly sums up the chapter in so many ways :)

I like the Chekov Principle

Chapter title

To be quite honest, that sounds like a rather well thought out title. Although you are right, it is also a hair blatant. Maybe you could use it for the title of the chapter in which the "fully loaded" power is used?

Well, I'm not into subtle :P Although I will say, it's tempting to ape the Friends tv show and call it, "The One With the Big Freaking Twist Ending!", but that's even less explanatory than "The Chekov Principle"

However, I suspect that less than half my readers will have any clue what I'm talking about, so I think I'm safe :)
