So what are you doing here?

It occurred to me about three seconds ago that I have no idea why you are all here.

So tell me!

I like your single fandom fic, but your crossovers blow my mind liek woah. :)

[identity profile] mhalachaiswords.livejournal.com 2007-10-18 05:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Cool :)

And crossovers are the reason I live and breathe (um, writing-wise). They're just so... nutty.

[identity profile] ladybeth.livejournal.com 2007-10-18 06:35 am (UTC)(link)
I choose single-fandom fics, but seriously I love your crossovers.:) And there were so many fandoms I read anyway, so the crossovers are all good.

[identity profile] mhalachaiswords.livejournal.com 2007-10-18 09:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks! I do like messing with the wacky crossovers. Things are a little less serious that way, no matter the content :)

[identity profile] kindigo.livejournal.com 2007-10-18 07:00 am (UTC)(link)
And even though you haven't written any yet, I'm also lurking around in case you ever write that Sookie Stackhouse/Anita Blake crossover you mentioned in passing, like, once.

Also, why couldn't I select "It's like 6am! Time to go to bed, dumbass!" because that's the one I need.

Seconded. :)

[identity profile] darker-glow.livejournal.com 2007-10-18 05:22 pm (UTC)(link)
thirded...

And I am so exited about the Tv show. wee!

[identity profile] mhalachaiswords.livejournal.com 2007-10-18 09:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah.... I keep meaning to get to that one, but it's been a while. And it's easier to find excuses than the time to write it :P

But never give up hope.

[identity profile] emeraldswan.livejournal.com 2007-10-18 07:51 am (UTC)(link)
I love your crossovers, but everything you write is amazing. Also - that "other" thing? Where I'm supposed to comment about why I'm here? Duh. 'Cause it's YOU.

Long delayed expression of appreciation.....

[identity profile] lilyoftheval5.livejournal.com 2007-10-18 10:01 am (UTC)(link)
I choose single-fandom fics in the poll, not really sure why because I'm actually here because of your crossovers. Not that everything isn't good, but I'm constantly amazed with combinations that you manage to put together and then make it work so plausibly.

Two of my favourite works of yours are 'Dawning Light' and 'An Ancient Dilemma'.
Thank You very much for sharing them with us. :D

[identity profile] elenariel.livejournal.com 2007-10-18 11:11 am (UTC)(link)
Mostly here for the crossover fics, which I subsequently forget to comment on. Sorry! Will try harder...

And it's midday here, so which box do I tick? :D

[identity profile] mhalachaiswords.livejournal.com 2007-10-19 05:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee. No worries. As long as you're reading them, that's the important part.

As for midday -- you tick whichever box it feels like (bedtime or awake time). For me it's always bed time.

[identity profile] elenariel.livejournal.com 2007-10-19 07:08 pm (UTC)(link)
It always feels like bed time to me too, but it never is...

[identity profile] deepfishy.livejournal.com 2007-10-18 11:21 am (UTC)(link)
So I'm basically here for everything (I read your fic in the fandoms I didn't tickybox), and while I love the crossovers I read the single-fandom stuff too. And also! I remember you've done some neato crossovers with CSI and LotR and Kindred the Embraced, so I would by no means impose an artificial boundary on fandoms I'm "here for". :)

The real answer to "what fandom am I here for" is you.

It's 9pm here; I do not need to go to bed/go to work yet. *gloats*

[identity profile] flingslass.livejournal.com 2007-10-18 12:11 pm (UTC)(link)
I love Buffy crossovers! It's 10pm here.

[identity profile] windiain.livejournal.com 2007-10-18 01:16 pm (UTC)(link)
The time question threw me. I didn't get up until 1pm BST, so late and early are whacky for me. XD

It's sad that I like your work better than some people I used to pay money for their books. Because *you* should be getting that kind of money.

Please write!

[identity profile] mhalachaiswords.livejournal.com 2007-10-19 06:03 pm (UTC)(link)
That is sad. I mean, it makes me sad. I'd like money :(

Srsly, I should just get that book in my head out. I need some motivation. Or a kick in the pants. Or a paid leave from work.

PS Icon love!

[identity profile] lunalovegoddess.livejournal.com 2007-10-18 01:36 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd love to see more Sookie, actually.

[identity profile] mhalachaiswords.livejournal.com 2007-10-19 05:38 pm (UTC)(link)
I need to write me some Sookie, I know. And reread those books. It's been a while :)

other fandom: Blood Ties

and other more obscure things that I secretly hope you will one day write about.

[identity profile] mhalachaiswords.livejournal.com 2007-10-18 05:11 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm only just getting back into the Blood Ties show, and I have this weird urge to mash up the books and the tv show (because I love and miss Tony, and Christina Cox as Vicki is so awesome)

And what other obscure things? Share with me :)

[personal profile] autumnus 2007-10-18 06:00 pm (UTC)(link)
I miss Tony too even through I like what they did with the TV show and agreeing with the rest. :) looking forward to what you come up with, when you decide to come up with it. :)

did you ever hear of Dreamfall or LongestJourney? (they are a pair of adventure games)

be careful through, they are dangerously addictive.

I don't know but me thinks especially Dreamfall could give you some material to work with (crossover or single fandom)

[personal profile] nebularific 2007-10-19 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
The Longest Journey is one of my all-time favorites, but I haven't gotten around to Dreamfall yet.

I'd love to find tLJ fic somewhere. I've got a bit of an idea for a Doctor Who/Longest Journey x-over, but I kinda doubt I'll ever get around to it.

Seriously, check it out if you haven't played it. TLJ's old, but still looks great, (especially if you can force your graphics card to anti-alias the game.) It's totally immersive game world. </ pimps>

actually there is a limited edition of Dreamfall that just got out that has the game soundtrack and the longest journey in one box.

it also is pretty reasonably priced (20-something I guess?)
so it is worth looking into it

[identity profile] mhalachaiswords.livejournal.com 2007-10-19 05:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I haven't heard of those games, no. I haven't even really gotten into adventure games (or for that matter, been introduced to them ;)

[identity profile] houses7177.livejournal.com 2007-10-18 01:58 pm (UTC)(link)
I, personally, am here because you're one of the lights of my ficdom life! Also, you're possibly one of the coolest people I know, in RL and LJ!

[identity profile] mhalachaiswords.livejournal.com 2007-10-18 05:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Icon love!

Thank you so much for your kind words :P This wasn't intended to be a love-thread, but it sure is making me feel good none-the-less.

And right back attcha, babe :)

[identity profile] oportunemoments.livejournal.com 2007-10-18 03:25 pm (UTC)(link)
hmmm, it's 11am here.... oh well :-P

I'm here because i love your writing period. single fandom, crossover worlds that never cease to blow my mind, all good. Crossovers generally win though :-P

[identity profile] mhalachaiswords.livejournal.com 2007-10-18 09:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks :) Crossovers are love.

(What's your fave at the moment?)

[identity profile] oportunemoments.livejournal.com 2007-10-19 02:42 am (UTC)(link)
Balancing Act :D
As for WIPs, I think Inevitable is sorta a given at this point. And even though I'm so not a Supernatural fangirl, I'm still holding a flame for If You Go Into The Woods. :P

[identity profile] penyn-1600.livejournal.com 2007-10-18 03:50 pm (UTC)(link)
I actually like both the single fandom and crossover fics.

[identity profile] mhalachaiswords.livejournal.com 2007-10-19 04:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't tell anyone, but I do too :P

After all, one cannot write one without the other. At least, if you're me. A crossover helps me understand each fandom better, so it's all shiny.

[identity profile] askani.livejournal.com 2007-10-18 07:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm here for the crossovers, [although if you do write a single fandom fic and it's in a fandom I enjoy, I do read it.] because you have the best crossovers I've read. [and I read a ton.] ♥

[identity profile] mhalachaiswords.livejournal.com 2007-10-22 03:51 am (UTC)(link)
Thanks! I'm glad you like the writings. I do enjoy me a crossover.

I will say this, ain't nothing like a good crossover.

I wish I could have my control of the English language back.

[identity profile] jaydeyn-sitari.livejournal.com 2007-10-19 12:30 am (UTC)(link)

Dilemma! I love both the crossovers and the single fandom things! *woe*

I'm also here for the Doctor Who *hint hint* :D

And, well, everything you write, really!

:)
Jaydeyn

[identity profile] mhalachaiswords.livejournal.com 2007-10-22 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
I have managed to avoid Dr. Who, not because of any deep seated hatred at the show but because I can't bear another fandom. The woe! The angst! Although Dr. Nine was pretty awesome in the few minutes I saw. Rose too.

PS Icon love!

[identity profile] jaydeyn-sitari.livejournal.com 2007-10-22 09:43 am (UTC)(link)

Hee! Don't worry, one day, you too shall fall... *rubs hands together evilly*

And I always rather fancied 8, though yes, 9 and 10 are quite pretty also... Yay time travel for crossover potential though! :)

:)

I live for the crossovers. Especially Inevitable and your HP-is-JS HP/SGA. :D

[identity profile] mhalachaiswords.livejournal.com 2007-10-22 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, that HP is JS was a particularly inspired crossover :P Glad you like the HP xovers!

Something that I thought would be of interest to you..

Oh yeah :) I think that's pretty cool.

Why am I here?

(Anonymous) 2007-10-23 05:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm here for things Inevitable and Dawning Light related. I've read a few of your SG1 xovers tooo, but I'm mostly here on Inevitable business.

Ciao,

PS Anxiously awaiting the next chapter too. :)

[identity profile] labseraph.livejournal.com 2007-11-09 03:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Truthfully, I love both your crossovers and single fandom fics because you get into the characters' headspace so well, not to mention the way you nail their voices so perfectly. But since only one choice was available, let me tell you that your crossovers are stupendously awesome! Thank you for continuing to share the products of your fantastic imagination.

[identity profile] lizey.livejournal.com 2007-12-01 03:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Random, but (as you may be able to tell I've been catching up on your journal): are you at all familiar with Dexter? (The TV show. Not the cartoon).

[identity profile] mhalachaiswords.livejournal.com 2007-12-01 06:23 pm (UTC)(link)
No, I am not... I no longer have cable and am rather out of the new-show loop.

(Although my father watches the show and it's turned him into a total fanboy. Well, for him, anyway. He loves it :D)

[identity profile] lizey.livejournal.com 2007-12-03 11:49 am (UTC)(link)
*rubs hands with glee* It has turned me into a total fangirl. Serial killer, man! I'd offer you eps, but Canada is The Land Of Far, Far Away.
