fic is fun. esp when life is dull

I'm all skippy with fic ideas. This is what happens when work goes pear-shaped.

The random ideas:

1) Tim McGee (NCIS) is the secret love child of Ianto Jones and Toshiko Sato (Torchwood), sent back in time. This stems from this, but it's taken over my brain... I just have this image of McGee exclaiming "I'm half-Japanese?" to Abby. It... makes sense to me. I'm going to tackle this this weekend.

Tidbits: Instead of tossing wee!McGee back in time, send Tosh and Ianto back in time and having to leave wee!Timmy behind. Full of woe and angst and character growth. Plus, Special Agent Timothy McGee in a starring role.

2) Writing John-Sheppard-as-a-girl. Because SGA gender!swap is the best thing ever. There's a Wish Fulfillment challenge over at [livejournal.com profile] sga_flashfic for two more days; I may try to get it there. Otherwise, I'll still write it because the story forming in my mind is also one of those emotional traumatic things for John Sheppard and that's the best thing ever.

Or should I say Jean Sheppard. *rubs hands together*

Oh wait, I've read his work. I so love A Christmas Story.

3) Now all I need to do is write a Twilight/Sherlock Holmes crossover and I can die happy.
PS So not happening

re: icon. Fear the concealed weapons covered in cooties...

Also you scare me. Can't wait!

I'd definately read the McGee story:) I haven't read too many gender swap stories. I read one once, and I didn't like it so it may have had me avoid others.

New fics

It's great that you are feeling all creative with new fic ideas and I wish you all the best luck with them, just please don't forget your old unfinished fics. (Dying for an Inevitable update)

Have you read the genderswap stories about Joan/Meredith? They're sorority sisters in ATA.

Don't die

Don't think of dieing happily until after Inevitable and all the other Fanfics are finished. Remember that Dawning Light still needs work and the other Buffy/Anita stories.

What, no "on their cross-country tour back from San Francisco, Russell and Holmes run into a very strange family"?

I shouldn't challenge myself with ways to come up with these things. Because I will find a way.

. . I started an Anita Blake crossover that began sorta that way (with no Anita, obviously, given the timeline, but with Jean-Claude). Never went anywhere with it.

Heee... that all sound good, but genderswap ftw!

My life is very nearly complete too. All I need to die happy is Macgyver to crossover with every available fandom. I may be here for a while...

The way I see it, we've got time :D All crossovers, all the time!

So... with that NCIS/Torchwood crossover, does that mean that Toshiko lives?

All of these sound very interesting :)

I grew up fan-girling Jean Shepherd, listening to him invent the art of chat radio every weeknight on WOR! So nice to see a fellow-fan of the old curmudgeon. Seriously, when I was in grade school, Shep was doing a book-signing for In God We Trust at a department store in Manhattan and I made my mom take me! Everyone else in my class was googly-eyed over the usual androgynous boy-band members, I had a crush on Shep. *sigh*

I look forward to McGee learning of his fabulous heritage!
