I want to see Anita in SGA. I want to see her with the gene and having to take all her boys with her.
That would be a disaster waiting to happen.
But first we'd need to see what reaction Teal'c would have to her. Maybe even having her take the energy of a goa'uld, and her eyes changing to look like the night sky. What would that mean to the jaffa or the system lords?
It's 2 in the morning, I'm avoiding sleep, so the following may not make sense... I picked AB, but was so tempted to vote for Nancy Drew or Roseanne... nostalgic & it would be funny as hell to see John or Rodney date one of her daughters or even the son (nay, make that especially the son.) Hell, I'm just thinking about the sheer overload of snark.
But AB would fit better, sort of. It'd have to be quantam mirror-ish, or maybe one of Edward's alter ego's get's pulled into service & get hooked on hunting the wraith, or maybe Peter (that is the step-kid's name right?) joins up ships out & Donna gets worried, nags at Edward, who calls in his favor from Anita & they go off & somehow save a planet or two while Anita & Rodney piss each other off, John, Ronon, & Edward play 'who's scariest', & Teyla thinks that maybe she'd get more maturity out of Jinto or those kids who kicked themselves out on their 25th year.
But Nancy Drew? I'm still trying to puzzle out what that cross would look like... It's like Encyclopedia Brown & Farscape... damnit, new bunnies. I'm not to be distracted from my Jayne in Narnia planning, please kill em for me. I can't kill bunnies.
Yeah, that's kinda how I felt when it hit me as I watched the end of Trash again (I love River joking about insainty & stuff.) I can see it working, but I'll need to play fast & loose with CoN canon myth b/c I want the adult Jayne to walk into Cair Paravele (sp?) & ask for money or sex in exchange for killing some Telamarines (again sp?).
I voted for AB, only because I haven't seen it yet. Otherwise, I'd vote for Buffy - or rather, more of the Faith crossover (please! *puppydog eyes*). But really, anything you write I'll read :).
I voted for Harry Potter because all of the HP/SGA crosses I've read don't even make sense. I would have gone for Anita Blake, but I'd rather see more HP/AB crosses out there. If it were an AB/SGA cross I'm just trying to see how it would work out.
Oh, I was so tempted to say Roseanne. MY G-D, that would just be hilarious. I can see it now, Rosie steps out of the gate wearing her work cloths, keys in hand, saying something along the lines of "I think it's safe to say that I've stepped into the wrong house." Yeah. . .I'm not good with humor/comedy. I think you get the point.
But what I did vote for was Xena. It's been entirely too damn long since I've heard or watched anything on that show. Ah. Those were the good-ol-days.
Yeah. I read that. To tell you the truth, it was what made me go on a HP/SGA fic search. And I was utterly disappointed. But I did have some good laughs.
So far, Songs across the Ocean was the only one of it's kind that made a lick of sense and didn't make me go "huh?". Or scream at the computer.
Now, of course I screamed at the computer when I finished reading your story. Just for an entirely different reason--I wanted more. But it does make for a great oneshot.
I voted AB, because like Buffy, it's the logical choice, being the wraith vampires of sorts. Of course, if they bring her on board as kind of consultant (at least for a while), she would need a couple of the boys, including her vampire servant. If he doesn't take well when there is a big physical distance, while she is actually standing on Earth, I don't see him remaining sane with her in another galaxy. And with the new triumvirate, that's something she cannot afford. So, she'd need at least two boys for the ardeur, and one should be Damian, who in turn may need an extra blood donor (just like Anita needs to rotate her pommes to avoid killing them in the process of feeding, the vamps also alternate between donors).
Of course, you can always choose the option of bringing Edward on board, since it's less complicated, but I'd like to see an Earth vamp facing a wraith. Would the wraiths notice the differences between humans and vamps on sight? How would they react facing Anita's power? Would they feel it? And since they feed from energy, would she some kind of candy on legs for them? Or her necromancy would be something scary and dark, unattractive and dangerous to them? Oh, the possibilities!
OK, I won't rant anymore... would you mind if I friend you?
I have a very different idea for the AB crossover, in which I remove the complication of Anita's life and leave her in a familiar setting. It saves her jumping the Marines :)
I think the Wraith have been explained with enough biology that Anita's necromancy wouldn't have any effect on them, outside of her normal "i can kill you with my brain" thing that she does. But they'd probably die from her bullets :)
Rant away, it's good to see that i'm not the only one interested in such things. And friend away, we're all friendly here.

I think it's safe to say that the SGA universe is condusive to crackfic, and I think the Xena/SGA cross might just do me in :P

And Xena, of course, due to the fact I just had to go out and pick up season one of Legendary Journeys yesterday.

I can see it now: Mini-Jack is stranded at MacDonald Hall. The only people that can help him are the school's two biggest troublemakers...

*g* I see you chose Xena, which I would have voted for anyway... :)
*Squees loudly and runs over to read*
