Drive-by posting

Hey kids. Happy Saturday. Just a few quick notes:

1: To the anonymous poster who gave me an LJ-gift, thanks so much! I return the sentiment and wish you the best of the holiday season!

2. If you've recently friended me and want me to friend you back, drop by and say hi. Also, I'm kind of curious as to how you found me in the first place, so if you want to share.... :)

2. Does anyone have any idea what I can get my mother for Christmas?

3. I'm not sure what I want to write today. Maybe I'll go through and fix things. Or respond to all those comments I need to get to. Or watch some DVDs. It's boring here in Vancouver right now.

One week and an hour to vacation!

Your icon rocks XD

Also, what does your mom like? Does she have a hobby you can get her anything for?

Funny. I was thinking the same thing.

She could also try a good wine along with something in the 'tasty good' category.

She's not into wine, but that's a good point. Some sort of beverage to go along with food? I'll have to see what I can think of there.... Do you drink herbal teas? What's good?

Well I'm no tea expert but mint tea is an awesome tea for this time of year. Plus I've heard that it has medicinal purposes. With like, muscle cramps. It's supposed to be soothing. Maybe a nice darker chocolate kind of treat would go nicely with this? (if your Mom likes chocolate)

Green and white tea also go well with a lot of stuff but tend to be for things that have stronger flavors, seeing as these teas don't cover up the taste so much (at least in my own opinion).

Mint tea is an excellent idea. I do know she enjoys that. I don't know if she's ever had white tea before. I'll see if they have any at the tea shop by my place. Thanks :)

Welcome. :D

She knits, she watches TV, she gardens reluctantly. She's really into outdoor cooking like BBQ, but it's so not the season for that up here.

Oh! And she's really a fan of non-caffinated teas. Hrm. That might be an idea. Maybe.

How crazy is she about knitting? My sister loves knitting and she loves obscure knitting books.

Whoops! That was me in the previous post.

Knitting books are a good idea. I'll have to look into that. Books are the gift that keeps on giving :)

Maybe you can find a speciality tea shoppe and get her some blend that she hasn't tried before and some knitting supplies then?

That's a good idea. A unique blend of tea :) Thanks!
