Fannish news

Finally.

The final Harry Potter title has been announced.

SF Gate story on the title, or you can go to JK Rowling's website and play a game to find it (cheat hints on the game in the SFG article)

It doesn't work for me :( I've followed all the instructions but the blasted chime just refuses to change into a key and be dragged *anywhere*! I even installed the newest version of flashplayer to all of my browsers and tried it and it just won't work! *wails* This can't be one of those things that just don't work with win2000, right?

I'm not sure what's going on. You clicked on the cobweb?

I'll give you this: The SFG article has the right name, as right as it it in the game.

Yeah, I actually learned the name before I even realized there was something to do at the site, I just wanted to see what it was like, try how hard it would have been to solve it by myself and all that... turns out that it was impossible, now I just want to know why...
I've actually found a couple of other bits within the site that don't work for me, it's infuriating.

This happened to me, too, when I had the Accessibility bit turned on. (Which is ironic in itself.) I don't really have a lot of faith in the workings of that site, if having two windows to the same room at the same time give me different results. Argh.

How do you turn it off? As far as I can tell, it does nothing - only gives me a couple of options that don't do anything...

On the entrance page, before all the craziness, where there is a large 'Accessibility' button, a link to the text-only version, or flags representing the language of your choice. Clicking on any of the flags should lead you to the site without the Accessibility thing.

Hmm, weird, I refreshed the site just a minute ago and didn't see that you had already answered.. oh well, thanks anyway :)

Oh, forget the previous question... this is what you get when you almost never visit the site from the main page and the one time you do, you click the wrong button... feeling stupid now... On the other side, now everything works :) Thanks for the hint!
