Drabbles: AB/Dracula; House/SGA

A couple of goofy drabbles from the odd crossover drabbles request last month.

Monster
Anita Blake/Dracula
I own nothing.
100 words
For [livejournal.com profile] cissasghost: Asher/Lucy Westenra (from the original 'Dracula'). Pretend Dracula happend in that world, and was not a book.

He had heard of young Lucy Westenra. How could he not? The Council was abuzz with news of London's new Master: turning and abandoning young girls; easy prey for the vampire hunters that stalked London's streets, emboldened by the massacre of Lucy Westenra.

Asher knew girls like her; young, playing at a woman's knowledge of sexuality, nothing more than children underneath. He had fed from hundreds like Lucy, before the Church murdered Julianna and left him hideously deformed. But Asher never turned one, to be abandoned at the feet of the hunters.

He was not that much of a monster.

Not Quite Normal
Stargate/House, MD.
I own nothing.
251 words
For [livejournal.com profile] philstar22: Stargate/House, MD.

And Chase had thought House was bad.

Well, to be fair, House was bad. At least House had been in a normal setting. A normal hospital, normal instruments, normal people. The only thing that hadn't been normal were the diseases.

That much at least was consistent with what he had lying in front of him.

Chase let his head thump onto the table in the conference room. He was under no illusion that the military wanted him; they'd have gone for House in an instant if House hadn't been such a fucking loose canon. What they wanted was someone who could do what House did and keep his damned mouth shut.

And now the UN was telling him about aliens and space travel and unidentifiable diseases. They wanted him to leave the planet. His disbelief had lasted right up until he had seen his first alien.

Chase lifted his head and looked at the offer letter in front of him.

Really, what was standing in his way? Everyone he had cared about was either dead or hated his guts. There was a large amount of danger, but hanging around House had been just as dangerous and was far less satisfying to his ego.

Plus, if he ever got back to Earth, the very large paycheque the UN had waved in his face would be waiting for him.

Robert Chase picked up the pen and signed the paper, committing himself to a two-year tour with the Atlantis Expedition in the Pegasus Galaxy.

Chase on Atlantis!! OMG! Love it [g]

[identity profile] mhalachaiswords.livejournal.com 2007-08-15 05:43 am (UTC)(link)
Could you imagine, both John Sheppard and Robert Chase? The usage of hair product would double :P

Oh dear. I just had a horrible idea. Chase/Teyla. I think I've been out in the sun too long.

Bwahahaha! Not to mention primping at all reflective surfaces [g]

As for Chase/Teyla.... Here, have a parasol.

[identity profile] mhalachaiswords.livejournal.com 2007-08-15 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
I can just imagine McKay calling loudly for the removal of all mirrors from the infirmary.

Which would of course when when Chase saves McKay's life, against all odds. Then Sheppard would roll his eyes something fierce and make comments about the Commonwealth sticking together, etc.

See? I'm already writing this in my head. Damn it!

[identity profile] mhalachaiswords.livejournal.com 2007-08-15 05:49 am (UTC)(link)
Um, not "when when." I mean, "end when Chase" etc.

I'm laughing with you, not at you [snicker]

[identity profile] firefox1490.livejournal.com 2007-08-15 06:16 am (UTC)(link)
hehehe, gotta love Chase. So sad sometimes.

[identity profile] mhalachaiswords.livejournal.com 2007-08-15 05:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, Chase can never seem to get ahead. That's because he's a bit of a putz, but still :)

[identity profile] askani.livejournal.com 2007-08-15 01:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Nice. House/Stargate.

Plot bunnies are evil sometimes - especially when you already have loads of fic in the works. :x

[identity profile] mhalachaiswords.livejournal.com 2007-08-15 05:08 pm (UTC)(link)
I know what you mean. I've using these as a way to get back into the rhythm of writing, cuz frankly it's been a while.

[identity profile] dizzy-lizard.livejournal.com 2007-08-15 02:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I love it! Chase's going to Atlantis!

[identity profile] mhalachaiswords.livejournal.com 2007-08-15 05:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Like I was saying above, the idea of Chase in the same room as John Sheppard will cause a run on hair product like no other :P

[identity profile] catherinecookmn.livejournal.com 2007-08-15 06:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Now you have to write the House/Anita Blake fic, dear. (I'm working on House/Snape/Granger with a friend of mine, as part of my duties in the Severus Snape Rescue Squad.)

[identity profile] mhalachaiswords.livejournal.com 2007-08-15 06:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Gah. The Anita Blake/House fic idea I have depresses me. Maybe I'll give it a try, but only AFTER the next chapter of Inevitable.

Remus is yelling at Harry now, and it's oh-so traumatic for poor writer me.

[identity profile] catherinecookmn.livejournal.com 2007-08-19 03:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Uh-oh! Wow, poor Harry. Poor Remus. Poor everyone! At what point does Harry just go off and commit suicide -- or is he saving that for later, poor little Horcrux Boy? And Anita is REALLY going to be pissed at Dumbledore when she figures that out, assuming you included that bit of canon in your tale. She'll use language similar to Snape's, only more colorful. (By the way: Just as Snape couldn't bear to admit to anyone besides Dumbledore how he felt about Lily, he's not going to 'fess up that he might actually have come to care about Harry and his fate -- which is why he immediately kinda-sorta backtracks when Dumbledore calls him on it after a horrified Snape accuses Dumbledore of raising Harry up "like a pig for slaughter".)

I adore the idea of Chase on SGA. What fun, and I can just imagine the oh-so-witty reparte between him and McKay.

[identity profile] jujuberry136.livejournal.com 2007-08-16 02:04 pm (UTC)(link)
SGA/House? Awesome! I love it so hard! Lovely drabbles, and great Chase voice. Can't wait to see how Chase reacts when he realizes there are even more abrasive people than House, *cough* Rodney. And, of course, Space Vampires.

Great drabbles.

[identity profile] ranlynn.livejournal.com 2007-08-16 10:12 pm (UTC)(link)
they'd have gone for House in an instant if House hadn't been such a fucking loose canon.

Okay, now you need to do a House VS McKay drabble.

Come on, two (brilliant & they know it) snark masters face to face? Talk about loose canons.

I love the idea of Chase in Atlantis. You must continue
