2008 COA winners up!

The 2008 Crossing Over Award winners are up! And I am very pleased to announce that I have won three categories!

Best non-BtVS/AtS Crossover
Agent Afloat Atlantis (NCIS/SGA)

Ziva's new assignment certainly isn't what she expected.

Best Crossover Series
Dawning Light (BtVS/Anita Blake)

Dawn fell from Glory's tower and into the portal. Now she's all alone and scared... but sometimes family comes from the strangest places.

Best Portrayal of Other Characters (Riley Finn)
In the Key of Major Finn
(BtVS/GG)
Years later, Lorelai liked to start the story like this: One sunny summer Connecticut day, Adonis walked into the Dragonfly Inn.

Not at all bad for a slow BtVS fic year :D Thanks to all who voted and to all who read my writing!

And now for some numbers.

In the Key of Major Finn(BtVS/GG) won the Best Other Character category by 4 votes. Yowza!

Destination... Somewhere (BtVS/SPN) came rather down the list, with 86 votes, but that's more than I expected!

Ghost Story (BtVS/TW) was up for both Best Dawn (117 votes) and Best Dr. Who/Torchwood crossover (where it came in second with 140 votes, only four behind the winner). My first classic horror story :)

Pocket Watch Boy (Doctor Who/Torchwood) was up for best non-BtVS story; it had 136 votes, 11 behind the winner. Which is awesome because wee!TimeLord!Ianto is awesome.

The best part about the best non-BtVS crossover category was that Songs Across the Ocean (HP/SGA) was also nominated; and it came in second behind Agent Afloat Atlantis! Looking at those vote tallys just makes me so happy :D

Lastly, and I almost missed this, I received 37 nominations. My story Agent Afloat Atlantis received 29 nominations. Whoop!

So many thanks to all voters/readers, and a hearty congratulations to everyone who was nominated. TTH has attracted some of the best crossover authors out there, and it's amazing to see that hard work recognized.

A bit late, but congrats! (I'm just going back through my flist now...) I didn't actually vote for Agent Afloat Atlantis (I voted for Songs Across the Ocean instead :~D), but that's only because I hadn't read it - I know too little about NCIS yet. Of course, seeing the link here made me go take a look, so you'll get a review of it later. Turns out I didn't have to know that much about NCIS after all. :~D
