Just finished the chapter. Most excellent. I really like the direction this story seems to be going, and your characterization continues to amaze me. Loved it.

Things are fine. I just started the day at the gym, where I got another body composition test done. It wasn't what I'd call cheerful. Not surprising, but a little depressing. But on the upside, I have 133 pounds of fat-free mass! Go, bones, go.

With regard to my story: I'm waffling about if I need to have the NC17 section in a few chapters. I mean, on one hand, it's an Anita Blake story. On the other, I try to keep the fics at around a PG15 level for the kids.

I'm tempted to maybe write it and link it off the lj, so people can come visit to read if they're old enough. Not sure. Is it considered bad form to start writing a PG13 story then change to NC17 after 23 chapters?

I don't think so; most people understand that those things just happen. Though, if it's possible, you could always write two versions, the PG13 and the NC17, though I *always* have trouble doing that.

I'm still not sure if it's essential to the story. The hardcore bits, I mean. I *could* cut it before we descend into rampant sex and then dart to the post-coital conversation. That would save the rating.

I'm trying to keep the extraneous writing to a minimum. All the story so far... okay, 99%, is essential to the plot. Three pages of Anita and JC having sex might not be completely necessary :P

Echo does what you're suggesting. She'll cut cut it out and put it in another post under it's own title. Like, Inevitable Interludes or something. That way if people want to read it, they can. I mean, if it's part of the story to you, you should write it. This way, you don't have to worry about the rating.

And this was an amazing chapter. I'm interested tolearn why the Aurors would be there, and especially what's up with Anita at the end. Very intriguing.
