Life is a funny thing. Delicate enough that one small piece of metal can rip it away so easily. That's what I thought, as I lay on that cold concrete floor, heart struggling to beat around the bullethole in my chest.

I could feel their panic, the men I loved, who were tied to me. What else could they feel, as our marks dragged them down with my death?

It was too late. As the frantic fluttering of my heart slowed, as my eyesight failed and my life faded away, my last thought was that I wasn't ready to die.

Well, at least she thought of something (mildly) better than "Awww...
S#!t." or "I knew I should have zigged instead of zagged!" before she died.

BTW, you haven't lost me as a reader of Inevitable. (Even if I'm the biggest Harry/Ginny fan out there.) It's just that, by the time I find out you have a new chapter out, I feel like all the worthwhile comments have already been said. And going "D00d, that roxs!" does not really appeal to me.

Hey, saying D00d that roxors is cool. I was actually wondering if you had abandonded the story.... glad you haven't :)

(You've actually hit upon why I seldom review fanfic -- unless I have the time for a 20 paragraph essay on the content, saying "Hey, that was really good!" seems a bit lacking.)
