Notes: I started working on this over the summer. Consider this my big (have you seen that word count?) foray into the world of Bones. There's more stuff that should go into the notes about the wheres and the whys of this story, but that would ruin the story so I'll just say: Enjoy :)

Sometimes, when I'm in the middle of a very long fic (NCIS/SGA at 32,000 words 4srsktnx), I like to try a little writing exercise. Today's exercise is a set of ascending drabbles (100 words, then 200 words, etc.) on a character I've never ficced before. Results are:

So I know I'm being the game here, but I just watched the NCIS season finale a few days ago and here's my reactionary post, yo.



Summary: After it's over, the remnants of a life fit into a single box.

Note: Basing the setting and Anita's age (fifteen or so) on when the first AB book came out (1993). For the Doctor, I belong to the school of thought that the Doctor didn't just fade out for a moment, at the end of Rose, and he went and did all that stuff on that website. It all makes sense to me, anyway.

Note: I blame this little plot bunny on gracie_musica and the loltorchwood macro at ihazastopwatch because, honestly. Yes, I know that he's holding a stopwatch. Bear with me. It was going to be crack!fic and then I wrote a real story. And as such, this taking forever to write, I have been Jossed so hard. But I was so far into it that I sucked up my bruised ficly feelings and finished it. I like it loads and you should too.
