I'm going through a tea phase - mostly black tea during the day, and peppermint with honey after 6pm. I'm lucky to live in a city with a number of great tea shops. My favourite tea right now is La La Lemon from David's Tea, and I have a rotating selection from the Granville Island Tea Company (currently drinking their Christmas 2018 blend).

I'm also drinking far too much coffee but I have to be at work by 7:30 and I'm making trade-offs.

What's your favourite tea?

I have so many favorite teas. For black tea, I purchase Adagio's loose Irish Breakfast tea blend by the pound and drink it with skim milk every morning, so that is probably my favorite by volume, haha. For decaf black tea, I favor their peach decaf. For herbal, I have them prepare a custom blend for me consisting of mint, chamomile, and rosehips. I'm also very fond of Adagio's Green Earl Grey blueberry blend "Farewell Ponds" (one of their Doctor Who fandom blends). For Oolong, there are many delights, but my absolute favorite would probably be Ti Kuan Yin.

If I'm ever up in Vancouver again I'll try to bring you a bag. Yay, tea!

I have too many to count!

At the moment:
- Tea & Sympathy's Rosie Lee (they're a small local NYC store, and it's an English Breakfast/Earl Grey blend)
- Bigelow French Vanilla
- Bigelow Cinnamon Stick
- The Republic of Tea's British Breakfast
- A Maple Syrup tea a friend got me as a gift
- An old earl grey/jasmine blend which I bought years ago at a wedding shower at a tea place
- Mariage Freres' black teas in general
- Pretty much any variation on English Breakfast

If you ever come to NYC I will totally take you to Tea & Sympathy for afternoon tea. It's expensive but absolutely worth it.

My go to morning tea is Ahmad Tea's loose leaf Ceylon; it's a nice strong-but-not-too-astringent black tea that's really good when milky, and very inexpensive* (about $0.01/g) to boot.

I have a ton of other teas that I enjoy, but this one is definitely my mainstay.

Or, as an alternative to this boring answer, I also enjoy mixing my own spice blend for chai-- I recommend trying it, it's fun and delicious!

* I do buy it wholesale, so YMMV as to the price if you don't want to get an entire case.
