Yup, they made up. I think of all those characters, they are the ones that need each other the most. Nathaniel is the one who has been with Anita, pretty much 24/7 since NiC. He does everything for her, she's come to depend on him, and him on her, to validate his being a person. He became stronger because she believed he could, and would accept no less.
