The words! Will not flow!
ETA4:21pmPST: Okay, the application for the job is off. Why so quickly? Because it popped up on Monster yesterday, but according to the company web site was due in by SUNDAY. So it's off, and hopefully before the place closes today.
PDS is down and I don't know why.
If you're into that sort of thing, there's a SG-1/HP crossover going on over at the pit of voles (am I using that terminology correctly?):
by All Roads Lead 2 Coffee (
stress100) The Boy Who Reminded Them Of Daniel: Take Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Neville Longbottom, Jack O'Neil, Daniel Jackson, Samantha Carter, and Teal'C, mix thoroughly, garnish with bacon, and serve to an unprepared Severus Snape.
It's at chapter 10 right now and it's a fun way to spend 20 minutes (it's reeeeeally short).

Date: 2006-04-28 10:46 pm (UTC)Ah, yes, the pit of voles... You are indeed using the correct terminology for that cesspit of rampant Mary Sueish superpower fics.
Woe for writers block! I completely sympathise... All I can say is that I hope you get hit with inspiration soon, because not being able to write is one of the most frustrating things in the world. *hugs*

Date: 2006-04-28 10:54 pm (UTC)And the sad thing is? It's not fictional writer's block. It's non-fiction on my FAVOURITE topic: me. Trying to fill one page with information about why they should hire ME and being unable to break into all capital LETTERS for EMPHASIS is hard!
I'm almost done, though. It's all taking shape.

Date: 2006-04-29 02:10 am (UTC)One is off, the other is in the hands of my beta (yes, I'm using a beta for a cover letter -- she's the awesomest person EVA) and i'll send it in Monday morning.
Maybe i'll win the lottery and never have to write another one of these. Well, it's nice to dream.

Date: 2006-04-30 10:37 pm (UTC)I have to figure out how they all spend their time on Sunday.
Hogsmeade weekend? Oh, Jack won't be able to keep Daniel in one spot for longer than ten seconds :)
