Hey everyone, I have a question about Battlestar Galactica and Supernatural. Do Cylons dream?

I have this freaky desire for some Sam/Six fics.

In other news, I'm on vacation as of 5pm today. Yay me! I plan to do some writing this week, relaxing, that sort of fun times.

K, this post is over.

Cylons do dream. Three (Lucy Lawless) had dreams or visions before they got rid of her.

I really need to get on the Supernatural bandwagon,

Yup, they dream. They also hallucinate. Fun stuff! Six is a totally delicious character, in all her incarnations.

Does this mean you are going to have to imerse yourself in BSG to really get to know the characters in order to write them better? Cause, yay! That would rock.

Well...that was a bit anti-climatic. :)

I was expecting tons of questions and that I could heroically answer one. Since your question already got answered I'll ask another one for you so you I can answer it. It's all for you...not my own self gratification. *innocent look #24*

mhalachaiswords (as played by satyrnfive):
Q: Does Battlestar Galactica take place in the World Without Shrimp?

satyrnfive responds
A: Thanks for asking that great question. While I can see how you might think that the truth is that in the episode '33' there were a pair of ships that handled all the deep fried seafood needs for the fleet. The ship that was carrying all the shrimps, lobsters, etc was left behind due to a faulty hyperdrive. Sadly the other ship which was carrying the batter made it out so now they make due with deep fried soylent green.

(yes...I do have way too much time on my hands.)

I don't think I could catch up with BSG at this point. I was just so facinated with the character of Molly last night that I want more. And since Molly's gone, Six will do!

I'm aware I think in mysterious ways.

Excellent.

I've only watched the first hour of the BSG miniseries, and Six was quite the standout. The actress was great in last night's SPN.

Personally I think the Cylons can be some of the most fascinating characters on the show, particularly Six. Can't wait for the next season of Supernatural even more now, though it still hasn't come to a tv station I can watch yet.:(

If you ever find the time to watch a new show, the first on the list should be BSG. The show is one of the best made shows on television and would be worth your time. I just started watching in the fall (mini series to current season) and its become one of my favorite shows of all time, ahead of Supernatural and Stargate Atlantis. Sorry for the speech, but I just can't say enough good things about this show. My favorite quote about it is from Joss Whedon, who says its his favorite show. Ever.

BSG and SPN are my obsessions.

I would love to read a Sam/Six fic :)

FYI: BSG is IMO one of the best written, best-paced show on TV. Smart, intelligent, awesomeness.

Fantasies are a big big thing on BSG. For a time, I thought Baltar was a cylon because of his 'imaginary' Six. The reason was because Cylons envision the world around them according to what they want to see. For example, Baltar and Six are walking and when it's cut to Six's POV, they're walking through what looks like a rain forest. It cut back to Baltar's POV and they were walking down a utilitarian hallway.

Even if I didn't see on the show that Three had dreams, I would say that it was possible simply because of what I stated above.

Hope that helps! I'm downloading Supernatural from last night now. I can't wait!

The actress was great in last night's SPN.

Indeed. I saw her name in the credits but couldn't remember what I knew her from. Really nice turn for her in a completely different character.

The idea of Xena as a Cylon makes me so happy :)

SPN kicks ass too.

Anytime you use that icon, you have too much time on your hands :)

And I like it when I am played by you.

... that sounds dirty. Pretend it didn't.

Do Cylons dream?

Well...one could argue that they are in a constant state of lucid dreaming. Caprica Six did tell Baltar that cylons have the conscious ability to perceive their surroundings however want to.

If they are walking down a hallway & they want it to look like a forest path then that is what they see.

SPN season 2 rocks so hard. You'll enjoy it when you see it. The boys are really settling into the roles.
