Three dollars and some change

The ideas that some people want to remove from public discourse... well, I don't understand it. I think that these sorts of people don't understand children and their ability to reason things through, and figure out ideas on their own. A kid who's family is Christian isn't going to go out and start slaughtering chickens because he reads a Harry Potter book -- a book isn't going to destroy the values someone's been raised with. What it may do is open their eyes to the other side of the story. I know I'm a much better person for having read all those things as a young 'un.
