Date: 2008-01-06 06:55 pm (UTC)Loved all the non-Rory POVs. Breakdown was to be expected, everyone would be overwhelmed.
Daniel is Daniel, Vala is Vala, and your writing enforces/confirms that.
"I don't have a degree in math or any experience with any of this and I'm going to screw something up, bad, I just know it."
Will the Air Force help her get a suitable degree?
"“So why did you leave your writing job?" Daniel asked again.
"Because there were no answers. No way of knowing if what I had written was right or wrong, never any way of checking.“
That's a good reason, a reason I can understand.
"So, back to work. No rest for the McKay genes."
("She's quirky and obsessive and will trail off in the middle of a conversation as something occurs to her, and her attention span can be pathetic at times.”)
Yes, how does she feel about that? Before, she was a Gilmore. And illegitimate child. However, in SGC everyone knows and will know her as a McKay girl. She's, after all, literary following her father footsteps.
“Daniel turned around and went down the hall in the other direction. “
Really, what else could he have done.*laughs*
The way Mitchell met her was brilliant; I so enjoyed his confusion and consternation.
“Cam walked into an Airman.”
*shriek of delight* For some reason, that amused me immensely.
"I wonder what she'd be like drunk."
Actually, from the moment they met I was wondering how she and Vala would do a shopping trip together.
I also like the way you write Teal’c, and the air of constant amusement with the Tauri he carries around. O’Neil was also great with his paper plane.
I’m looking forward to seeing how you’ll write Zelenka; he’s one of my favourites.
“Something had happened to Rory around the time that Chris had told them he had leukemia. Maybe it was thinking about her own mortality.
Or maybe it was something deeper, something that Rory couldn't share with Lorelai.”
I feel sorry for Lorelai. Rory did put her in a difficult and ugly position.
Btw, will the pairing be Sheppard/Rory or you're still thinking it over?
Also, should I cut down on my reviews, less quotations and the rest? I can talk less if you don't like this sort of feedback.
