Coming to this after a long time, obviously, but it's so good I couldn't *not* respond. This is perfect. I love the way the Doctor helps Buffy with the little water-demon and how she sees him. It's totally logical that Buffy would remember and that the Year That Wasn't would stick in her mind like the nightmare it was. You did an excellent job of showing how that affects her, and how the Doctor might be able to help her find peace. I really enjoyed this.
