I really, really love this story. It resonates with me in a way few works of fiction do. That said, I'm not really feeling the John/Rory. It just strikes me as such a bad move for Rory on so many levels, but at the same time I can totally she why she went there. (Even if I want to bang her head against a wall to knock some sense into her.) I'm still kinda hoping she hooks up with Ronon, though. Because Rory/Ronon would be as hot as Rory/John but without the daddy issues. Also, I want to see Ronon at a Friday night dinner.
The Carlos thing is very interesting. I'd be interested in knowing how your SGC handles this sort of thing. I've read a lot of Jack/Daniel in SG-1 fandom, and I've seen this issue handled a lot of different ways by a lot of different writers.
