Brilliant. I knew the last scene was coming because we had discussed it but the whole chapter was entirely Anita. "I have to be strong." She is rather desperately hurt herself but she only sees what she didn't do. Her getting injured, well, that's just part of the job. (As seen in Micah, when she explains how she got the cross-shaped burn.)

It was wonderful how Nathaniel made her leave the room when he started talking about what happened but yet he wouldn't leave the room when she gave her statement. I look forward to Nathaniel's fight with Anita.

When Anita saw that Micah was pretty much at the end of her endurance, it snapped her out of her own mind for a minute. But she feels so completely responsible for everything. Would that real leaders would take that much responsibility.

Damn you're good.

As for the Harry scenes, I love that you are giving secondary characters more weight. Tonks is more real now. The Bellatrix discussion was perfect. And his attacking Malfoy in a beast-enhanced rage was perfect. The others cannot understand what Harry is enduring now. Too much, too hard, too soon, too permanent.
