Inevitable 6 update

Chapter six of Inevitable is posted. There will be a slow down in updates because:
a) the rest aren't written;
b) I aim to finish Masks this week and to get the next part of Mind the Gap out (and it needs rewrites because Anita's being really whiny);
c) I am presenting at a conference this weekend and I should probably get prepped for that; and
d) I'm taking more time with editing these chapters.
Now, back to work!

Date: 2005-02-08 06:26 pm (UTC)The next chapter is the aftermath for Anita, which should be pretty interesting. This scene's been in my head since almost the beginning.

Date: 2005-02-09 01:32 am (UTC)Anyways, I just wanted to say that I'm really enjoying the story. I love Anita and Harry, but I've never really read a decent crossover, and, knowing me, if I wrote one it would probably just end up being a whole lot of Harry/Jason/Nathaniel smut and no real story. Do you know of any other decent Harry Potter/Anita Blake crossovers? I'm always on the look out for recs.
Yeah so, really like it, love that twist with Damien, although I am wondering how you're explaining it cause didn't they say in the books that vampires over a certain age were sterile? Or is that just mostly sterile? eh, it's been too long since I really read those books.
Also, are vampires really legal in England? Is that in the books? Or did I just misread what you wrote?
hmm, Where is the rest of Harry's wizarding stuff? Is it at the Dursleys, so he will have to go back there to get it? Or did he leave it at Grimmauld Place or something?
I can't wait to here about how you're going to explain the differences in were culture. Is it just the way the wizarding world does weres, or all of Europe?
I'm sorry for all the questions, I suppose it's just a mix of my inquisitive nature and my betaness showing through. I hope you're not offeneded. *blush* I actually have more, but I think that's enough for now.

Date: 2005-02-09 02:25 am (UTC)I have seen one, and I'm still trying to dig it up out of TTH. When I find it, I'll let you know. But I think I've seen a grand total of three AB/HP fics to date. Not a very much used cross (which I think is why I made Inevitable: I love a challenge)
... cause didn't they say in the books that vampires over a certain age were sterile?
In Incubus Dreams, it says something to the effect that it is highly likely that Damien was sterile, but Anita expresses a slight sliver of doubt about that. It's a miniscule thing, but a plot point none the less.
Also, are vampires really legal in England? Is that in the books?
In Incubus Dreams, we learn that vampires are legal in England as well as the USA. No indication on how long, so I was vauge in my story.
As for your question about Harry's stuff, he left it with Ron before the trip. That will be addressed in the next part when Harry writes home.
And the question on were culture, I'll be getting to that in... well a lot of parts. But it will be addressed.
I actually have more questions...
Ask away. I may not be able to answer them (trade secrets and all) but feel free. After all, I love to talk about what I'm writing.
