I don't know what Kindred the Embraced is, so had to click no on that one. ^^;
As for the last question - Math is Painful "Did you get that? Nah, me either. Let's consult the book and follow the examples." Love.
<3 New seasons~~! More Vala, more Baal, more McShep, more Jack O'Neill. And hell, more sexy wraith. Oh yeah, I'm happy. XD And yes, I know I'm beyond weird for finding the Wraith sexy. They're awesome. <3 They beat the fish-men lookin' Priors anyday until the day the Priors whip out their nifty little staffs and kill the Wraith ded. Scary.
Claudia Black is absolutely brilliant. XD I can't wait to see her as a member of SG-1.
I think it'd have to be the Ori. The Wraith kick ass if they can just grab you and do the vampire thing, but the Ori would be all up there being ascended-y and would just stare down at the Wraith like "Bitches, die." And the Wraith shall fall down ded. XD The poor Atlantis crew might actually have to be thankful of the Ori.
Sheppard: I believe some thanks are in order. Prior: Accept the Ori as your gods. Sheppard: ...I was thinking something more along the lines of 'thanks for the fish, see ya, so long'..
Yay, season 3! Too bad I haven't finished season 2 yet, hmm, now the question is should I just tape it and finish season 2 first or watch anyways...decisions.
Hrm. Crossovers. I don't read a lot of HP crossovers, but I have these ones:
Harry Potter/Stargate Atlantis crossover eva: Different Kinds of Magic (http://www.wraithbait.com/viewstory.php?sid=4293) by Rokeon (http://www.wraithbait.com/viewuser.php?uid=225).
Harry Potter/Chronicles of Narnia crossover oneshot: The Made-Up Things (http://archive.skyehawke.com/story.php?no=7633) by Chaos Pockets.
I have to comment on the last bit. Not a math geek, but thanks to McShep fic I've found that math geeks in general are a bit of a kink here. It's weird, I thought I hated math, but I find myself being drawn to math or physics geeks. Maybe it's because they have no problem explaining stuff or at least waffleing on about their OTL.
Um, *looks at what she just typed* maybe I'm just weird.
But as for that crossover, I'd try it, but Ginny's not normally my fave character & I've no clue what Kindred is other than an almost archaic term for family or birds of a feather.
The crossover... le sigh. It's sort of dark!Ginny and involves various plot twists from CoS and PoA... it'll work, but still. :)
Don't worry too much, there are those who'd read anything you write... hm, maybe you should write badfic to see if they'd still tell you it was good. But the crossover, include explanations or make it so you don't need to know the canon of Kindred & I'll try to read, but Ginny normally turns me off dark or no. You're Ginny in Inevitable was palatable... eh, you know what I'm saying right?
You work w/ math geeks?! Lucky you. I work in childcare so not so many chances to meet anyone other than parents of the kids who give me headaches. Smart is v. hot, my best boyfriends were geeks, they'd always get all fanboyish when talking about their geekdom & the energy was always wonderful.
SGA season 3 starts tomorrow!!!! OMG!! Thank you!! I didn't realize that the season was starting back again. Haven't watched Scifi in a while, due too many repeats. Sidenote, I always enjoy reading your stories, cause they're sooo good.
Although I voted yes to reading an HP/K:tE crossover (though, like Quantum Leap, The Sentinel and innumerable other fandoms, everything I know I learned from fanfic), I couldn't help voting for option three in the next question. I think that as AB/HP has *clearly* failed to work in Inevitable, any hypothetical HP/Kindred crossover would be exactly that disasterous. So terribly, terribly impossible that it just couldn't work. I mean, where are the vampires and the societies hidden from ordinary humans in the Harry Potter books, huh?
As for the math question - no, no, no, a million times hell no.
I am so bad at math it's not even funny. It's past the funny stage on onto the pity "now that's just sad" stage. I kid you not.
What is this Kindred, anyway? I see it everywhere but I never even knew there was such a show on tv. I'm either just totally clueless, or none of the channels I get carried it. Is it on DVD anywhere?
Kindred the Embraced: Besides being based on an RPG, it was a mid-90s vampire show. Rather, an Aaron Spelling vampire show. It ran as a summer show, lasted 8 episodes, and was distrubringly good for a vampire soap opera.
It's available on DVD, I think. Been a while since I looked into it. I have them all on VHS tape still.
I said no to the ginny-centric kindred x-over. because as your one reason stated: Ginny's a ho. I hate canon Ginny and I'm pretty close to hating fanon Ginny too.
I also don't know anything about kindred. except what I read in one buffy x-over.
Actually, I'd probably read it anyway just because I like your stuff.
Work trouble is just that it's all crazy. I have a mountain of work to do between now and the 27th. Then... we'll see :D
It's amazing how many people don't like Ginny. I think she's neat, myself, but then I always fic her so I can see what I want her to be, not what she is .
