Maybe 'know'?
Anyway, Connor was very much like Connor, always wading in before he understands the rules.
My only quibble was that Merry's voice sounded a bit like Anitas. She never made much of the 'girl power' thing, not like Anita. Merry seemed to me perfectly comfortable using the assistance provided, she views it as a means to the end.
Regardless, this was a fun little ficlet. I do adore Connor so.

Date: 2005-02-21 03:53 pm (UTC)Maybe it's that I can't get a handle on the character. I found it harder to understand where she's coming from in some things, than other characters who are written first-person POV.
Anyway, yeah, Conner is so much fun to write.

Date: 2005-02-21 07:51 pm (UTC)With Merry, it feels like she spent her time on the world of the sidhe, and getting the core harem group down (Doyle, Galen, Barinthus, Frost, Kitto), but didn't spend the same time on Merry. My impression.
And I'd love to see the hinted at Faith/Nathaniel.
It's stuck in my head now. Only problem is, it's set three chapters into the yet-unnamed/unwritten Mind the Gap sequel. Oh well. No spoilers for that story, so I may as well write it :)
