Dude, there's so many of you! Seriously, everyone, thanks so much for your support and encouragement when it comes to my writing, and to putting up with the inevitable delays when it comes to work and life. I consider myself lucky to have such wonderful readers :)

So, anyone have anything to want to ask? Talk about? Comment away.

Boxers or briefs?

Also, have you purchased the comic yet?

Not a boy :)

Also, have you purchased the comic yet?
No, not yet. I dunno... not sure I want to give up any more of my money on AB books at this point. Maybe I'll get them when the whole set is out.

Silly. Do you PREFER boxers of briefs?

I'm a boxer-brief girl myself.

I'm not really sure. Depends on who's inside. But frankly, nothing's as goofy-looking as tighty whities.

So true. My roommate used to walk around in his all the time. ::shakes head:: Nothing worse than a grown man wearing very baggy whitie tighties.

Though, I guess on some men (coughcoughChristianBalecoughcough) it might be ok...

Hey there. Yes, I am in love with the crossover. It's just so facinating, mixing worlds together, ya know?

Feel free to comment at any time, I do like to talk about my fics. Especially at work (like now)

*Glomps*

*Grins*

Hey you. I don't really have questions. Just taking time to glomp.

Oh, yeah. You have such wonderful fic, and a massive fan-clan following you faithfully... has anyone ever sent you art based on your work before? Like photo manips or stuff?

*Totally innocent expression*

That's about it.

Oh, but if you feel the need to disclose any spoilers for Dawning Light, feel free.

*Is even more innocent looking*

Date: 2006-10-19 11:06 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] mhalachaiswords.livejournal.com
No one's sent me artwork, but someone out there has made an icon for my Anita Blake/Harry Potter crossover... can't recall who it is, right now. Hrm.

Dawning Light spoilers? Now that would just be mean of me, to tell you guys that it's Asher that causes Dawn to completely, utterly freak out. Or that a character named Elijah will factor heavily in the second half of the story.

O.O

...

*wibbles*

*dies of fic deprivation*

*is ghost*

...

Can't believe all you've got from your rabid fans is just an icon. *Scowls* Thats just neglect, that is.

I'll make you something pretty. Just as soon as I'm recovered from the shock. Your terrible, you know. *Smirk*

I love the mini!Dawn icon, if I hadn't said already.

Date: 2006-10-20 01:06 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] mhalachaiswords.livejournal.com
Hey, you asked :P

Yeah, mini!Dawn is too cute.

And you don't have to make me anything! Unless you want to. It's all shiny.

Date: 2006-10-20 01:34 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] shadow-in-eden.livejournal.com
I did ask. I have another question.

Can I have the next chapter? (It worked with the spoilers...)

Yeah, I know. No, but in a few days, sure. Something like that. I know I'm right. I don't know why I even asked.

Maybe because your spoilers made me itch for more.

And sure I do. It's a crime you only got an icon. An icon! for a 70+ chapter fic.

Unless you think I suck at art and stuff. Well, I suck at photo manips, coz I've only got paint, but drawing I'm ok at.

Anyway. I forget the stuff I was going to say. Might remember later. Maybe.

In a perfect world, I'd like to get three chapters done by the end of the weekend -- one for the SG1/AB crossover, one for my SPN/AB crossover, and one for Dawning Light. However, I'm prone to being overly optomistic and am making no promises.

If you remember, let me know. I'll need all the distraction I can get at work tomorrow.

No, still don't remeber. Probably begging for more painfuly wonderful spoilers.

...

Then again, no, no, oh gods nooooo!

...

Yeah, I wanted to send you a link to see how the picture's comming, but I'm not tech-wizz enough, but is is the most recent post to my journal. (And no, this isn't some ruse to get you to go there. *Shift eyes*)

Much Glompage Mhalachai.

First-off Thanks for dressing me as Andrew Jackson in the meme. Qestions... There's so many of them floating in my head and yet they seem to flee when I try to ask them.

Have you ever done NaNoWriMo? www.nanowrimo.com

How did you find out about fanfic cause the knowledge of its existense is not born into a person (I think)?

Have you ever read Christine Feehan's books? (If you think Asher or Jean-Cluade or Richard or anyone else is sexy.......haha the men in Feehan's can beat them out never mind some of the fanfic) I like her partially because she happily supports Fanfic even the raunchy kinky stuff. Beside the fanfic for her books seems to of better quality in general (your's raise the bar of good quality in AB fic) Besides knowing you, you'd end up trying to cross AB/ Feehan and THAT would be interesting.

Or Karen Marie Moning's Books?

Sorry to take up time,
Yet another rabid fangirl,
Seirya

Hey there, Mr. President. Never done NaNoWriMo. I've got enough of a headache with finding enough time for fanfic. I think I first found fanfic waay back in the day. Like Earth2 early. I haven't read those books you're talking about, but I'll see if I can find them next time I'm at the library.

Thanks for commenting :D

If you do find those books they are romance novels (not trashy... well not really trashy cause they have plot), just thought I'd make note of that.

Oh, and take as much tme as you want for fic writing, you'll get no complaints from me. The loger you take the better the chapters are!

Much glompage,
Seirya

As always, I must ask about Switchback. I know you're probably sick of hearing questions about it, but I must.
I think you've said before but I've forgotten, how many chapters are you planning and how much of the series? And where is it on your priority list?
On the Inevitable (Hee! That never stops being amusing.) delays: I'm perfectly happy to wait, but what's your timeline? Finished by Christmas?
Oh, and Dawning Light! So cute. Would you be willing to expand on Asher? And maybe how Damian's going to do?

Date: 2006-10-20 06:21 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] mhalachaiswords.livejournal.com
Oh, Switchback. I'm planning three sections of about 20 chapters each, and it's lower on the priority list until I finish Inevitable, Balancing Act, maybe Dawning Light and certainly Into the Woods.

Not sure about the IN timeline. Probably before Xmas. Certainly no longer: I have two weeks off around then and can probably slap it out by then.

Interesting that you name both Damian and Asher in the same phrase. Let's just say that Dawn has a similar reaction to both of these individuals.

Esh. I've never been so grateful that I like everything you write. Balancing Act is still in the air then? Cool. It's so weird to realize that 60 chapters is normal for your fics.

Aw, don't slap Inevitable! It's so cute and sweet.

I hate it when you hint at things. Except no, not really.

I still plan on finishing everything I've ever started, except maybe Candlelight. That will need a rewrite and maybe a pacemaker before I can get back to it.

Trust me, when you see what I have to do to Inevitable, you'll see why I want to slap the story. So much angst! Necromancers! Bad mojo!

As for the Asher and Damian thing -- how about this: it's a very different reaction than Dawn will have to Jean-Claude and to Jason. Why? A little of the telepathy, and a little bit of the as-yet-unnamed column B.

Date: 2006-10-20 06:45 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] practical-puss.livejournal.com
Aw, please finish Candlelight. Rats need love too! Hm. Alright, yes, I can see why someone with telepathy would have issues with Asher and Damian. Or, I guess, have issues with Asher's and Damian's issues. Poor traumatized kittens.

This is me saying hi. I don't remember if I ever thanked you for the postcard, but it was v. cool & is on my wall. I got it like a month ago (so v. belated thank you if I forgot.)

I gotta question... wait a minute, I don't. I do have to say sorry for not commenting on the Dawning fics b/c I have been reading & I love it (but I've been d/l into my ipod & taking them with me so I forget to tell you what I liked & what is working for me.)

Oh, here's a question... the five things meme has been multiplying like crazy & I think is starting to either get a second wind or will die soon: Have you thought about joining in or did you opt out to work on RL or other fics?

postcards are cool.

I wrote one of the five things a while ago, Five People Faith Never Saved (BtVS, CSI, SGA, HL, AB, SmVl)(http://mhalachaiswords.livejournal.com/204873.html). Not so much looking for more at this point. I have SO much on my plate that it's not even funny.

I just wanted to thank you for the awesome Vancouver postcard I received!
I got such a kick out of getting something tangible from one of my favorite authors. I can't really explain it, but mentally there is such distance between me, a reader, and the authors of such wonderful fic. It just seems strange to have actual contact.
Silly, I guess.
I know I don't leave enough feedback, but please understand I'm not very eloquent so I usually don't write often. I love your fic, especially Dawning Light and Balancing Act.\
Thanks again. Really. *dopey grin*

Yay postcards! I hear you on the contact. It's really a hello of a big disconect, communicating over the internet. Tangible is good.

Glad you're digging the fics. If only I could find tonnes of money and write fic all day. I'd be soooo happy. (And not only because work is crazy right now)

I'm glad to hear that you have some sort of schedule in place for fic completion. I liked 5 People Faith Never Saved, BTW.
I'm trying to post a few chapters of two of mine before NaNoWriMo starts... plus any drabbles that are still stuck on my computer.
I need to either copy them down by hand, or else buy more CD-Rs to burn. I'm trying to clear up as much space on that computer so that if I want to buy the Pets expansion for the Sims2, it won't eat up as much memory.
Hmm, questions...
What are you wearing for Halloween?
How do you celebrate the holidays?
What is your favorite holiday food?

Date: 2006-10-20 06:11 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] mhalachaiswords.livejournal.com
I'm just trying to survive until the end of the month. Oh wacky work, etc.

For Halloween, I'm going to wear a blue shirt, pin on some cotton balls and carry a water gun, and be Cloudy with a Chance of Showers.

I celebrate with my family, just small gatherings.

Fave holiday food is pumpkin pie. Mmm, pie.

Did you "hear" your own pun?? ;-)

I have a layout question for LJ...how did you get the tags to appear all kinds of sizes because that is a nifty little feature.

Date: 2006-10-20 05:19 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] mhalachaiswords.livejournal.com
You mean the inevitable pun? Yeah, that's everywhere these days.

The tag thingy only works with the Expressive Layout. You go to Editor Journal Style > Custom Options > Sidebar, then in the "Display of tags" section click "Cloud" intead of list.

Have you ever read The Dresden Files series by Jim Butcher?

Guilty Pleasure was good, comparativley. I like Circus of the Damned best (book 3).
