Any question? Hm. If you want to ramble for a few pages about your views on Teeny!Dawn's psyche, that would be cool. Any and all news about Inevitable is always welcome. Oh, and do you think you'll be doing any of those outtakes/POV switches from one of your longer fics (Inevitable, Dawning Light, Balancing Act) anytime soon? I love those. They're like potato chips, can't read just one.
And I guess I'll just take this opportunity to say again how much I enjoy your writing. I know it's a little weird to spend so much of my time pondering the work of a Canadian ficcer (much more common than the more widely known Yellow-bellied Sapsucker)but I do spend a largish chunk of my day thinking about your fics. Hrm, lesse. I'll spare you the pages on mini!Dawn, but I'll say this: she's a good kid, and after chapter 6, Anita's not sure she can take care of such an innocent little life. What about all those dangerous things that want to kill Anita? What happens if they go after Dawn? How can Anita live with herself if that happens?

Yes, I give this a lot of thought.

Outtakes: I plan to do several for Dawning Light. There will be a break in Dawning Light (timewise in the 'verse, not in writing) that will require a massive outtake so I can intro a new character. It's not the normal way to deal with stories, but it needs a different POV and I decided a while ago to make Dawning Light strictly Dawn POV.

Balancing Act has the benefit of having 2 POVs, so I don't really need any outtakes.

As for Inevitable... There is a sequel in the works, dealing with the issues after the end of the story, so no real outtakes planned at this point.

Yay to enjoying my writing! Frankly, the best part of writing is talking about my creations with people. It's all about the interactions, to see what works and what doesn't, and all that jazz. What's interesting is seeing what registers. Sometimes, when writing, there are things I think will be commented upon, but people pick up on other areas entierly. It's nothing I can predict.

What I mean is, art doesn't exist in a vacuum, and frankly needs to be part of this interaction. (Did I just call myself an artist? Blame the merlot and the wanky fanvids I'm watching.)

so question about Dawning Light.

In this fic Dawn is able to do even SAT stuff pretty easily while the BTVS Dawn hated math. Is math in Anita verse is easier or she actually somehow ended up being smarter as one of the changes.

You've been delving into Supernatural, and have done some crossovers of it with Anita Blake. Ever thought about a crossover where Sam or Dean becomes a lycanthrope? Because I'm of the belief that Dean as a were-leopard would be hot.

Also, you're obviously a huge Anita Blake fan, and I'm going to guess that you've ready at least some of the Merry Gentry series. Any plans to crossover the two?

Finally, Tarnished Sidekicks. I have two major questions. First, you mentioned that Hermione had several of her fingers ripped off. What fingers does she have left (This has been bugging me ever since I first read it)? Second, is there any chance of expanding on the fic?

Hrm. Dawn's brain. Let's see. The plan is that Dawn basically knows enough to write the SATs without any problem. Is it the switch? The curriculum? I'm frankly not sure. Dawn will address this issue later, but I'll say this: her memories from the monks/whatever pulled her across are pretty high-level.

Did the math thing come in later in season 5? I can't recall. I do remember that Dawn was pretty into school at the very beginning of season 5, her intro into the show.

I don't understand the question. Can it be a legitimate question/poll if there is only one answer, and that is YES!!! 'cause yeah. Also, your writing helps keep me alive, and from symbolically burning my LKH books in shame, so you should seriously consider writing more to spare the environment. I mean, I can't be the only person who loves your work better than canon and only keeps the books around to check details for your stories... right?

The only time I can really recall her dissing math was during the musical episode. Anya asked her what she sang about in school, and she said math - and that it was more fun when she was singing about it, than actually doing it.

OMG yes. That would be completely awesome. I mean, keep the original version around too, but I'd love to see it with Dawn included. (If only because I figure Anita would go completely thermonuclear at any perceived offense to Dawn. So, I think, would Nathaniel - but as I recall he wasn't around.)

As for the Dawning Light: Family Hour, it will be fun. Frankly, anything with wee!Dawn is fun to write. It's like the cuteness antidote for what ails you.

If Frank didn't know how to deal with Anita, he's going to be at an even bigger loss to deal with Dawn. It will certainly give the story a different dynamic, possibly bringing in Kathleen in a bigger role.

Yes, I know exactly how this will go, but I can't write it for at least four more chapters of Dawning Light, to address that story’s big twist :D

Ah, that crossover. I have... *checks* 4,000 words of that story written. It was way-laid by something angsty. I think it might have been work. But yeah, thanks for reminding me. I'll put it back in the queue :)

And with my writing, it's all always percolating in my head. Inevitable is a tricky one, though -- I have to reread what I've previously done in order to get moving again, and there is *so much* written that it's daunting, to say the least.

I hadn't thought of an AB/SPN crossover with wereleopard Dean, but it's a marvelous idea. Can you imagine his angst and woe at "becoming the monster" and Sam being all "Dude, STFU."

I have read the MG series. But I just can't get interested in writing an AB/MG crossover. Or in writing any MG fics, actually. The world's not all that interesting to me. Not sure why I can't get into it, but there you go.

Tarnished Sidekicks: You know, I can't remember what fingers they would be. I think (and my memory is probably faulty) that it was the pinky and the ring finger (I know, 2 =! several, but that's what sticks in my head). And not sure about expanding. I never say never, but I also have the attention span of a caffeinated toddler, and seldom go back to older fics. Hell, I have a hard enough time finishing things I've been working on :P

I think there has been some mentions that Dawn wasn't fond of math on first half of the season. First clear mention I remember is Willow and Tara helping Dawn with geometry. (remember the exercice about the triangles. I cannot recall which episode it was but I think it was second half of 5th season) Later, on Once More With Feeling Dawn comes home saying they sang about Math in class. Later she notes that math was much cooler while singing.

From all of these, I always assumed Dawn didn't like math regardless if she did well on her classes or not. Besides Dawn didn't start high school until the 7th season and sats are taken at the end of high school.

I don't mean to undermine the story (this is definately my favorite so far). Just something to think about. :)
