The trouble with demons
Dec. 17th, 2004 11:20 amMind the Gap rant
Okay, so I'm writing about demons in an Anita Blake/Buffy the Vampire Slayer crossover. We all know how the Buffyverse deals with demons: A sharp axe to the forebrain. But how does the Anitaverse take care of demons?
Prayer.
So you see my dilemma. How to incorporate these two diametrically opposed elements to deal with the demony aspect of my story (and yes, there is a demon out there, for those playing the home version of our game). I think I have a solution, but I'm rather picky about not being either trite about it, or being too preachy. I'm also desperately trying to avoid playing the Mother Mary Sue card.
I should have an update by Monday, for both Mind the Gap and for Masks. That's the goal, in spite of the weekend's Christmas clubbing.
