Does anyone know what's up with Pomme De Sang (http://pommedesang.com/)? The url now points to an online medicine portal.

Um, help? All my poor reviews... :(

ETA: Apparently it's an expired domain name. Hopefully this will get sorted out in the next few days.

I don't know what's going on; I know the mods were doing some work last week, but I don't think they were aiming to become sellers of medicine online...Beyond being frightened and confused, I am sad--didn't get around to backing up my last couple of chapter entries. Dumb me.

I don't think it's the mods -- usually what happens is that the high-traffic URL comes up for renewal, a less-than-scrupulous hosting company or whoever don't let the client know, and they sell it out from under the client to something like this.

According to http://www.betterwhois.com the domain registration expired on June 17. So if the owners of the site didn't renew, then they have to jump some hoops to get it back. I think there's like a 30-day grace period before they can sell it out from under you or put it back in the up-for-grabs domains again.

Someone let the domain name expire. It expired yesterday. Someone needs top pay the bill. The registered owner is Meg Bergquist (tziyonaa@msn.com). Don't know whether she is still associated with Pomme de Sang. Check it out by doing a WHOIS at networksolutions.com or any other domain registry. Hope the do it soon. Miss my AB fix.

This is the 'help/admin' e-mail on the cached main page. Maybe they didn't know it expired. It looks like one of those generic pages that show up on parked domains.

I know that they were talking about moving servers because of increased instability recently...maybe the domain name got fucked up in the transaction?

Expired domain name. All fics and reviews should be safely stored in the site database. Unless the site owners did some major fuckups.

Pomme De Sang seems to be back up and running. It's working for me at least.

OK, here is the official word

Our current host provider was really a nightmare. We had been weeks trying to reach them without response. So w addressed the issue directly with the registrar.

We followed all the steps they told us we should have followed, and we should have had the authentication code released to re-register with another registrar this past Wednesday.

Suddenly they stopped to answer our mails, until Saturday, late at night, with a few hours before the domain name expired. At this point, we had no chance to switch registrars. So we did it today. We are also in the process of changing host, given that we have been so badly treated as clients in our current host.

Hopefully, the host move will be completed tonight, or very early in the morning, this time hopefully we won't be having any down time.

Telling you that the three of us are at the verge of a nervous breakdown is not even close to the problems we have been facing this past week. As soon as the transfer is complete, I'll make public the name of the host company, so nobody have to go through the torture we have experienced these past weeks.
