Hey everybody!
Hi Dr. Nick!

There's a lot of new people who have friended me in the last little while, and it's been a bit since I have talked to a lot of you, so:

IF you recently friended me
THEN Tell me a bit about why you are here, what it is you are reading of mine, and how you found me

AND/OR

IF you want to ask me a trivia question on any of my fics
THEN I will answer.

Damned if I can remember, I'm afraid. Presumably I had a reason - fanfic probably.

It's all about the fanfic, true :)

It's been a pretty long while since I friended you, and I honestly cannot remember what exactly prompted it. I think it was probably Inevitable. Or maybe one of your other AB crossovers. But the reason I've stayed reading your lj is because you seem to be a very interesting person, and I like interesting people!

Hmmm, I kinda want to ask a trivia question about one of your fics, but I'm terrible at them! Here goes: In Dawning Light, will any other BtVS characters be showing up?

Date: 2008-03-07 06:52 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] mhalachaiswords.livejournal.com
*g* I like being seen as interesting. Mostly I think it's the coffee, tho ;)

As for the trivia, the answer is yes.

...

And by "yes", I mean that we will see *one* BtVS character show up at a time when Dawn has given up all hope on that regard. And in an interesting manner, I must say. How helpful is that?

Old friend, new journal. I'm here to worship at the altar of your genius. I'm currently reading... Hmm... Everything. And I believe i found you on TtH.

Trivia: Will you write a Torchwood/Inevitable crossover, you know that little tarot girl could be Elsa. Please?

Date: 2008-03-08 04:28 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] mhalachaiswords.livejournal.com
No worshipping allowed here! only wacky 'shipping ;)

I want to write an Inevitable/Torchwood crossover, but I can't bring myself to imagine Little Girl as Elsa. However, I can see Elsa considering Cpt. Jack Harkness as a very useful tool (ahem) in her drive to support Christoff in London. And it occurs to me that I seriously need to write that Elsa backstory.

So. Where was I? Oh yes, I've got a lovely idea for Little Girl's backstory, in a crossover way. I do enjoy strange characters :)

I'm relatively new but I started by reading your Anita Blake Crossovers on TTH and then moved on to reading pretty much everything you write including a couple of fandoms that I don't really know anything about (Gilmore Girls and Blood Ties).

Those Anita Blake crossovers... that was my main fandom for many years. I've drifted away from it recently but those old stories hold a place in my heart.

And a sense of guilt when I think about Inevitable.

And thanks for taking a chance with unknown fandoms! I have actually discovered some lovely fandoms by reading stuff by fave authors :)

I found you through a rec for Physics of the Spin, which I started reading because even though I only saw a couple episodes of each show, I love crossovers and was kind of bored that day and was curious how you pulled off this crossover into making sense. I liked your writing style and then went to Dawning Light, which I fell in love with. Then I found your LJ and found the trivia on Inevitable and got curious about that and started reading that too... so now I've gone back and read pretty much everything you have writen...(the Firefly crossover with AB is one of my favorites of the ones you finished, with Balancing Act)

I do have trivia questions to ask, but as I'm in the school right now and has a paper for history to due today and its the middle of midterms week, I can't remember it right now...Can I get back to you on that?

I love your icon so much.

I have to admit, sometimes it's hard to make a crossover make sense (and some days I wonder if I pull it off after all) but that's why I like crossovers so much -- it's more of a challenge to make the worlds work together.

Ask anything you want, whenever. I'll be here all week :)

*waves* Hmmm... I actually found you through TTH, where I read a few of your stories. Followed you here through a rec for Physics of the Spin. I read that and Dawning Light.

TTH does seem to be the main contributing factor to bringing folks to my lj. All hail TTH :)

Hmm, I know I first remembered your penname for Inevitable on TtH. Wonderful characterization and plot lines. And more recently Dawning Light and Physics of the Spin. And even though I've never watched Gilmore Girls I'm completely fascinated by the fic. It's amazing.
*sigh* currently I'm waiting to catch up on the Torchwood eps so I can read those as well.

Gilmore Girls and Stargate Atlantis don't have much of a mutual fanbase, I've found. But that's one of the reasons I started Physics -- I like a challenge. And this one has been a challenge, for sure.

Torchwood is my new crack. Srs. That show is so full of cracktastic possibilities, and they don't take themselves seriously, which makes me so happy. I could fangirl on for a while, but I'll restrain myself.

Jesus, that was a while back... I think it was your Blood Ties bodyswap story that made me say, hey, this is GOOD. And then I found you'd written BtVS and SG, and read everything (and didn't comment, because I was new to lj and SHY!!!)

And now I've just started watching Torchwood, so there's another whole world of fic opened up. I'll be over here, in the corner, lurking and reading...

Date: 2008-03-08 06:40 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] mhalachaiswords.livejournal.com
Oh, Blood Ties. I read those books ages ago and the show was awesome... I wonder if we'll ever see it come back again. *sigh*

Anyway. Thanks for swinging by the lj :) I do like to dance around in the fandoms. I have the attention span of a gnat on speed some days.

Ah, Torchwood. A show so full of cracktastic love. I love it so.

And no need to lurk, we're all friendly around here (actually, on a comparative lj scale, this journal is a happy place to be. Truefax)

Same as several others, I found you on TtH through your Anita Blake crossovers and followed you here. I love Anita Blake/BTVS crossovers and you're one of the few who writes them.

TTH is seriously the best place in the universe. I love how BtVS can be such a happy fandom.

It's surprising to me that there aren't more AB/BtVS crossovers -- I mean, vampires and werewolves and demons, oh mai. But then, maybe the time for BtVS has passed *pouts*

Physics of the Spin... I actually have the next three chapters mapped out point by point and need to get my life in order to sort all that out with the writing. But the next chapter starts with Sam Carter, so that's going to be a fun POV change :)

I don't remember how I found you or even when but I know it was a few years ago at least. But I'm totally here for the fic. :)

I'm currently re-reading Inevitable on mhalachaiswords.com and I've noticed a few typos here and there that I'm sure just went unnoticed. But I don't really remember them from your lj posts. odd.

We're all here fo the fic. Fic is so awesome. Sometimes it's all that gets me through the day. (Othertimes, it's coffee, but that's the way she goes, ya know?)

What I've noticed about typos is that the first time I'm reading a story, I gloss over the typos as negligible to the meaning. Then when I re-read, I know what's happening so I pay more attention the language and then I spot the typos. Lord know it's not that I have actually gone through to *fix* them. *iz a bad author*

I'm glad you're here! Physics of the Spin almost didn't get off the ground -- I spent several months thinking I couldn't pull it off as a story that didn't turn into crack!fic or a Mary Sue... but then one day I went crazy or something and posted what is now the second chapter. And the rest, as they say, is history :)

Humn, I came for the Buffy/Anita Blake crossover, and I stayed because I am a crossover FIEND...and you write really really cool stuff.

Not much more to it than that...other than the fact that when you write personal stuff and get snarky, sometimes you make me sporfle. Which is always nice.

I tripped over your Stargate/Gilmore Girls crossover and fell instantly in love. I'm basically stalking you for fic fixes. I just wish I was familiar with more of the shows you write about because I am a huge fan of your style. Insanely well-written, lyrical, and in character: basically all the things I look for in fic.

So..that's me in a nutshell. :)

I think I was on a House kick when I found you first, but I stayed for your Gilmore Girls, Buffy, Stargate, and all the crossovers in between. (Physics of the Spin is my favorite!)

This doesn't really apply to any specific fic in question, but do you prefer writing Lorelai or Rory? You write both extremely well, but Rory tends to feel a little bit...sharper, whearas Lorelai generally feels warmer. Is there any reason or personal preference behind it?

I was looking for fic updates, or some clue as to when they would be updated. As for what I'm reading, pretty much anything Anita Blake at the moment, most notably Dawning Light and Inevitable. As to how I got here, Twisting the Hellmouth.

Hmm...Why I'm here, for the fic, reading pretty much everything but the Torchwood stuff because I haven't had a chance to watch it yet, found you through a rec for the Anita Blake/Harry Potter rec list but had been reading your fic on TTH for ages before that.

Current Favourite is Physics of the Spin which is awesome by the way, my previous favourites were Balancing Act and Paper Saints.

Trivia: Any possibility of Finn from Gilmore Girls in Physics of the Spin? any possibility at all???

So, if I remember correctly, I friended you way back when Inevitable was still only 2 or 3 chapters long. Yes, it's been awhile, hasn't it. I stay because you keep hooking me in with more great stories like "Songs Across the Ocean" (one of my favorites) and "Physics with a Spin" (of course I fangirl McKay so I'm desperately in love with that story).

I adored "Balancing Act" so that's where my question will be. Are you ever planning to write something else in that universe? *begs nicely*

How is it that you wrote more stories that I have seemed to missed? I now go off to read some more. *nothing but love*
