SGA series finale question

I have a question regarding the series finale of Stargate Atlantis. When Teyla agreed to go to Earth, what became of baby Torren? Was he just somewhere on Atlantis, or was he left in Pegasus? I've read fic either way and I'm confused. Halp!

I don't think they said for sure? He's probably with Kanaan and the rest of the Athosians, wherever they happen to be.

Was there an episode I missed where Kanaan left? And was it said that he took the baby with him? Season 5 is all a blur to me...

I agree with jedi. During the final they make brief mention of the fact that the Athosians were set down on a planet before they left Pegasus. Presumably we're meant to assume that Kanaan and Torren went with them, but they don't say definitively, one way or the other. If you want to say that he's still in the city, that would work. If you want the angst of Teyla being separated from her family, that would work too.

That makes sense. I mean, on one hand you can expect that Teyla wanted her son to be safe. Other, being separated from him... This sounds like a situation that must be fixed with fic. I must have missed that line in my watching.

I think they slip it in along with the bit where Woolsey asks Ronon and Teyla if they want to stay in Pegasus.

Yes! I can understand her not wanting Torren in the city, because the wormhole drive is very experimental and they half-expect it to blow up. So I could see her not wanting to take the risk, and sending him and Kanaan off-world with the others. On the other hand, it's Rodney's work and she trusts him. And she'd be leaving her kid vulnerable to the Wraith (unless maybe they dropped them off on the planet of the Kids, with the shield?)

It definitely needs to be explored *tries to ignore own plotbunny*

Well, I just read the episode transcript over at the Stargate Wiki but I didn't see any mention of the Athosians. I could have missed it though.

I was always sorta under the impression that Kanaan was living with Teyla & Torreb on Atlantis after his rescue.

I'd think that after the whole incident with Michael trying to steal her baby yet again - even if the bastard is now dead - she'd be reluctant to let the kid out of her sight, even with the danger involved in staying.

I think the most you can really say about it, is that he wasn't there when they were having the big post-splashdown happy ending scene.

OKay, so I realize that everyone's got their own opinion, and it wasn't expressly stated, but the only way you'd separate me from JC is the event of my demise. Period. I don't give a flying leap if his dad would be living on some planet somewhere, safe or not, that shit would not fly. So, as a mother of a toddler who does not-unrelated things for a living, I think Torren is with her wherever she is, appropriately cared for in the off hours by a military support network of daycare/nannies. Because that's what I'd do. ANd it's not clear either way.
