1. Anita Blake: Anita by houses7177 -- Yes, I like Anita. The sarcasm, the stupid ideas, the inability to ask for help when she needs it, the continued way of choosing the wrong guy (Richard) and holding off from the right(er) ones because of some kind of strange domineering attidue, I like it all. It helps that the books are first person, so we can get her motivation, no matter how annoying it can get. Anyway, yes. Anita all the way.

2. Buffy tVS: Dawn by cissasghost -- I liked her at first because she was a total doof, then because she was trying so hard. Plus, she's teh uber-cute. I think my liking for her was emphasized when I rewatched the earlier seasons, with young teen Dawn. She was thwarted by all around her, Buffy and Joyce and Willow. She got to be the kid when everyone else was the grown-up, and she hated it.

3. Smallville: Chloe by iamabee_buzz and semirhage527 -- Chloe! So eager and bouncy and a reporter (like me), plus all that determination. She doesn't bug me like Lana, probably because there's a decided lack of simpering in her character.

5. Merry Gentry: Doyle by gameazel -- I don't know, his first appearance in the first book was OMG so cool. Plus he's got that wounded air going on. Plus, he doesn't pout. Plus, really old. Plus, can turn into a big eagle.

6. Highlander: Methos by gameazel -- Come on, we all love Methos. It's the beer. No, it's the very interesting threat avoidance technique. I really like characters that have layers, and Methos epitomized that.

11. Harry Potter: Harry by cissasghost -- Yes, Harry. I have a soft spot for the doomed hero. When people are dying because of you, and you've pretty much been told that you have to die, what can you do? Harry seems to have sucked it up and carried on. Also, his refusal to take crap from people is very anti-establishment. Fight the Man, kid.
