breakfast nachos: only with chopped up hashbrown patties instead of corn chips (I didn't have any tater-tots)

so it's my birthday this weekend and my father has decided to be a diva about things.

Case 1:

Mother (to me): What do you want to do to celebrate?
Me: How about we all go out for a nice dinner?
Father: I don't want to.
Me: But--
Father: we're not going out and that's it.

Case 2: (which I just heard about this morning)

Mother: I wonder what kind of cake I should make for the birthday meal.
Father: I won't want to have a cake.
Mother: It's not... your birthday.....
Father: Don't make a cake.

I give up.

yeah I wish i knew what was up with him; it's not really about the cake and I don't know what it is and frankly I'm getting a tired of trying to figure it out. Ugh. People.
