Garraghg!

I'm all stymied. I'm five lines in to Inevitable 17, and I'm stuck on how to show a fight scene between Richard and Micah. I'm at the point where I just want to have them throw themselves at each other and declare their undying gay love for each other and be done with it. Gah.

I've got the rest of the next chapter of Candelight and Me In Team ready, all I need to do is write them. Yeah, right.

The cause of the fight. It's a verbal fight and getting Micah snarky is hard.

But isn't he halfway there already, with the way he is treating Nathaniel? He's a lit fuse, knowing that Anita is hurting and nothing he tries is helping. To quote Danny Phantom, 'hello misplaced anger' All it would take is one assholish comment from Richard, I think, t set Micah off. And what does Richard do best when it comes to Anita? Got it in one!

I totally agree with you. It's just picking the right words for this is hard. I think part of it is that Richard and Micah have only ever shared about half a page of ink-time, total.

Ahh, that can be tough. But what are we working with? Richard has never been comfortable with Micah -- that whole his beast matches with Anita's thing, so I think the start of conflict would have to be over Anita, maybe Micah trying to be solicitous to her and her rebuffing, Richard getting in the mix, "didn't you hear her?" and it goes from there?

I don't know, probably super cliched, but just trying to help. :)
