OMG The next chapter of Inevitable is up.

At TTH
(and if TTH is broken:)
At Pomme de Sang
At Skyehawke

And guess what? This chapter is even LONGER than the last one. More than 10,600 words. Plus another cliff-hanger. Phear.

Any comments or questions you have are greatly appreciated. I try to reply to all comments. (aka, I love to talk about my fic and will love you if you want to talk about my fic too :P)

The award Inevitable won. Thanks to everyone who voted!

And while I'm at it, the fancy banner for the icon contest I won:

hey, thanks for the Squee! I need all the squee I can get.

And let me know what you think when you're done (the fic's starting to pick up and I need to know what people who aren't me and who don't know how it's going to end, think)

Thanks!

Just finished. Wow. That's an incredible chapter. Loved the ending, too. (For the record, I have no problem at all with cliffhangers...) You're doing an excellent job with this, you know.

*bg* thanks! I actually had a moment where I was trying to make the characters do something and it wasn't working. I realized the thing I wanted was out of character and my brain sort of knew that. I am waaay too into this fic :)

Being "too" into a fic is not a bad thing, in my opinion. I, for one, get very invested in my stories. Glad to know I'm not the only one ... ya know?

Love that icon of yours.

Trust me, I know what you mean.

That icon was made by the lovely [livejournal.com profile] samiamicons. I love pretty icons.

Oooo! Even though Dolph is being an ass in the books, I don't want him to be a dead ass in the story. Live Dolph! Live!!!

Don't worry, I'm taking a card from LKH's book and killing off as few characters as possible. Bella and Clay were necessary. Dolph, not so much.

:)

Loved it and left a review on TTH, though I forgot to rate, opps. Everybody is pissed at Harry, aren't they? Here's a kid who actually has a reason to be emo, yet he's not. Okay that last comment was silly, but hey, it's a quarter to 4 in the morning. :D

*snicker* if Harry tried to be emo, Jason would be all over that with a sarcastic stick.

And thanks for the review. It's my goal to get Inevitable up onto the top fic page (without cheating). With a thousand hits ++ for every chapter, by the time I'm done, it might happen :)

This chapter was amazing. I loved Anita's angst, her instability. She's falling apart and we rarely see that. I am hoping that Jean-Claude knocks some sense into her. Your Harry is complex. He's struggling to figure out how much of what's going on is actually his responsibility. Anita has yet to learn that and her reaction over Philip was very in character.

I would beg for more soon, but this chapter had to be exhausting. I'll wait patiently for more.

As I said before, in regards to their dealing with responsability, both Harry and Anita are rather alike. They take too much on themselves, and yet do have to deal with the fact that their actions have caused deaths.

And there is nothing in this chapter that couldn't be solved with a simple coversation. Sadly for the characters and good for my plot, that's not going to happen.

Thanks for commenting :)

That was amazing. It definitely woke me up on this fine Sunday. I love your characters so much. It's not often in the books we get to see Anita crack, and it sort of makes her infalible. I know no human is, so your Anita just seems more... human I guess. I still love Laurell, don't get mer wrong, but fanfiction makes me appreciate the characters more, and yours is doing this fantastically.

And I love Nathanial. ::pout:: I don't like it when he's sad. :)

Why, thank you so much! That's what good fanfic does, generates interest in canon. My interest in HP had tapered off in the time between PoA and GoF, and what really got me back into the groove was some good fics. And now look where I am.

And I love Nathanial. ::pout:: I don't like it when he's sad.

Don't worry. He'll stop being sad... eventually *eg*

So there I was, having finished the latest chapter of Inevitable over at TTH, when I decided to check your author profile to see if you're on LiveJournal. And of course, you are! So I jumped over here and started scrolling down, and I find...Inevitable ficlets! *AND* you're a QaF fan! Pleasepleaseplease, may I friend you?
(I adore this story, BTW. I didn't see how the crossover could work, but you're managing it flawlessly. And my guess about the latest cliffhanger? They're not Death Eaters.)

Of course friend me, as long as I may friend you back :)

I will not comment either way on your guess. I will only say you may be right, or you may be left :P

Love that icon, and the award is adorable. Congrats again on the fic award as well.

As for the chapter? Brilliant. Anita's breakdown is so painful to read, so well written that we actually feel along with her. How much she's had to take on and how little she really thinks she's capable of. Sniffle, poor Anita. Then again, someone needs to knock some sense into her. Maybe Harry can return the favor, after all she's done for him. I agree with teh reviewer above that Harry's one kid that could be emo but isn't. Thank you for that- he's confused and upset but he's still soldiering on. That's what a hero does.

And cliffies? Bring them on. Love 'em love 'em.

Thanks! yeah, poor Anita. She's so convinced, with these triumverates and the responsability of protecting Harry and being a Federal Marshal and dealing with the aftermath of a pretty serious event (well, two now), that she has to do it alone because everyone around her needs her to be strong.

And we all know how great she does in asking other people to shoulder some of her burden *ahem*

Thank you for that- he's confused and upset but he's still soldiering on.

Exactly. He's not sure what he wants for himself, but he has a very serious set of moral guidelines that he applies to the world around him. Protect others, don't hurt people, don't quit. He's quite a character (which could lead me into an overview of the morality tale of the HP books, but I'll skip that for today :)

Hi,

I was reading Inevitable at:
http://mhalachaiswords.com/writing/viewstory.php?sid=151&textsize=0&chapter=10

And I found a minor error.

Anita shook her head. "All one hundred percept on the level."

I think you want percent and not percept.

just letting you know...
