Today is July 1! Happy Birthday Canada! I'm off to meet with my parents, who are in town for coffee. Then I'm going to enjoy my three day weekend, damnit.

It's been okay, so far. The best part was when I went shopping. You know how supermarkets have those free sample give-away days? They had one at the local wine store. Rock.

Ohh. Sample anything really nummy? I tried a white merlot the other day, something I didn't even know existed until it was offered to me. Pretty good. Sweet and dry.

Well, today was beer sample day. I thought they were only giving out tiny samples, but they had these 8-ounce glasses that they filled halfway. Four times. All in all, a welcome beginning to the afternoon :)

I ended up getting one of the beers they had. A microbrewery honey pilsner, of all things.

Ah, that would so rock! Though I do so hope Texas never tries to have "free beer day" ... that idea scares me. Yes, quite scary, indeed.

Um, have you read the chapter? Does it suck? It's been so long since I've written Buffy that I'm really uncertain about the chapter :(

Just started reading it, but the, uh, five (maybe six) sentences I've read so far do not suck in the slightest.

Would have started reading it sooner, but ... LJ is a vortex that sucks me in and refuses to let me do anything else until I'm all caught up on my flist reading.

OMG. Mhal, that chapter so does NOT suck. At all. Not in the slightest. It is so very in character for Buffy ... excellent job.
