When Edward flicked a button on top of the contraption, then took off running, Anita didn't wait. She ran after him as fast as her legs could carry her.
They'd barely ducked behind a thick concrete wall when there was an explosion, then dead silence. Cautiously, Anita uncovered her head and glared at Edward.
"What the fuck was that?" she hissed.
He gave her a look. "Claymore," he whispered.
As Edward peeked out around the corner to see if the explosive had done its work, he heard Anita ask curious in spite of herself, "Where'd you get it?"
He smiled.
