Why is it whenever I'm writing the action sections of my stories my brain freezes up and I get convinced that I suck totally?

I think this is why I haven't finished Any Given Tuesday. Performance anxiety.

I've never noticed any of your actions scenes being anything less than great, if it helps at all. :)

And while I'm here I might as well just let you know that it's entirely your fault that I'm hooked on Dawn-centric fics now. I used to hate Dawn. Now I'm obsessed.

I didn't used to like Dawn fics much either, tell you the truth, before I started Any Given Tuesday. But then I started it, and rewatching season five Buffy, and suddenly I was a huge Dawn fan. So weird. Which, I guess, is why she's now my number-one Buffy fics-I-write character.
