Miles and miles for my fingers to type. I was just out at my coffee shop (where I get most of my writing done -- Inevitable is almost 100-per-cent caffinated these days) and I didn't know what to write. Like, nothing. Inevitable is having a hard time in coming together (we're back to an Anita and Harry scene and it's so not working cuz there's, like, screaming and stuff), Switchback is too dark for my current mindset, and Candlelight is not something I can just jump back into. Even ficlettes aren't coming to me. I've got a Dawn/Methos for [livejournal.com profile] madannekidd and a River/Tara for [livejournal.com profile] silver_venus42 from the most recent fandom meme.

I'm in the middle of putting all the fic I've written this year onto one master page, so it's all in one place. I'm only to mid-July, but it's crazy. I knew how much I'd written, but to have it all in one place... Zounds!

Here's what I figure I need yet to write, at some point:
Ficlette Fiasco I and II stuff
The Fandom Meme two
Inevitable
Switchback
Candlelight
Letterbox
Fanfic 100 stuff

Am I missing anything?

Take it one step at a time, and it's done before you know it.

Here's something to jump-start your inspiration:

------------

After only a few bites -- more quick swallows, really -- Harry pulled his muzzle away from Olaf's shredded throat. Olaf's body fell to the ground, the eyes wide open and staring sightlessly, as Harry let go.

He changed back, muscles smoothly rippling under the skin as he went from wolf to boy. His shoulder graze healing as he did so. The sleek brown-black fur receded, became pale human flesh.

The post-change rumbling in his guts had already started; Harry knew that the few mouthfuls he'd taken so far would not suffice to keep him going much longer without finishing the feed. But he had to look after his lupa.

Harry stumbled over to where Anita sat on the grass, her back pressed up against a boulder. She was alive, but probably hurt. How badly, he wasn't sure.

"Oh, God, Anita, I swear," Harry whispered, as he carefully checked her body for injuries. "I swear, if that bastard hurt you, I'll raise him up just so I can fucking kill him again."

"I like your attitude, kid," came a voice, weak but clear, from the tree nearest Harry.

Harry turned towards the voice, and saw Edward. Edward was holding a pressure bandage over a gash in his side. He gave Harry a lopsided grin.

Squee! I am excited by this prospect. Yeah, Edward would totally be in on that idea of Harry's.

And you're totally in my brain! It's almost creepy.

Wow! Is she really? I'm going back to consider the clip more thoroughly.

Catherincookmn, I really enjoyed reading that...I, also, am excited by this prospect.

Mhalachai, You can DO it!

Well, she is in certain ways, while in others she's not... but there is something about this scene that she's written that will be very close to what happens :)

Heh! Just a little something to kick-start your muse, even if it's only to irritate you so forcefully that you have to finish writing that problematic Anita/Harry scene just to wipe the taste from your mind. ;-)

I've got Inevitable Anita (all freaking out and getting mighty sick of a bodyguard all the time) and Switchback Anita (heading off to see Larry, as happy as she can be, not expecting the anvil I'm about to drop on her head) mixed up in my head right now. I'm not sure which one to start on first!

I know you'll probably say IN. As I get closer to the ending of that one, it's making it easier to write.

I'm sure I'll figure it out.

Write whichever one feels easiest to write right now. Maybe if you get the huge anvil-dumping over and done with in Switchback, it might make it easier to deal with Permanent-PMS Anita in Inevitable.

Oh, and I really wasn't trying to invade your brain. Honest!

Actually, it just came to me about a week ago: What would Harry -- a lycanthropic Harry free to an extent of a lot (but not all) of his inhibitions concerning harming certain people and the use of certain magics -- do if the most important person in his life were to be attacked by a guy that could give Bellatrix a run for her money in the Sick Puppy department?

I figured that a possible answer might run somewhere along these lines.
