Hey everyone. I'm a reccer for [livejournal.com profile] stargateficrec this month in the (can you guess it?) Crossover category. Of course, I'm blanking. So, a request:

Please recommend good Stargate SG1 or Stargate Atlantis crossovers to meeeee. Yes, they can be your own. I'd like it if they were completed, but you can't have everything.

I want material, folks, and I know I'm missing some good ones! (Sadly, the one SG crossover I can pull out of the air is Bridges by Tassos and it's been recced.)

Off to write. Really. (As an aside, I did a possessions purge yesterday and rearranged my apartment. It's like a brand new house, and it's awesome)

I'm not really an SG1 type person, but I love your fics. Guess that doesn't help though.

Yay on the apartment! I love to periodically purge my living space. It always puts me in such a marvellous mood.

Ecolea's Changing of the Guard series? SG-1/Highlander. I'd be surprised if that hadn't been recced, but you never know. Scroll down a bit for it: http://xoverfic.com/arcs.html

If you haven't read Kei's "Trick or Treat", I highly recommend it. It's a wonderful read, and almost complete. It's a Xander-centric Buffy/SG1 crossover, and it presents a fully developed post-Chosen world, and absolutely wonderful characterization. It's here:
http://www.tthfanfic.com/Story-4301/Kei+Trick+Or+Treat.htm

Another fantastic Buffy/SG1 crossover is DonSample's "Misunderstandings", in which the Scoobies and SG1 end up investigating the same remote island. It's complete, and can be found here:
http://www.tthfanfic.com/Story-3244/DonSample+Misunderstandings.htm
It also has a sequel, "To Be or Not to Be", which I thought was good (but not as great), and presents the possible unexpected consequences of Dawn going through the Stargate.
http://www.tthfanfic.com/Story-6624/DonSample+To+Be+or+Not+To+Be.htm

For pure laughs, I have often re-read Kei's "A Hacking Good Time", which never fails to put a smile on my face. Another Buffy cross.
http://www.tthfanfic.com/Story-4965/Kei+A+Hacking+Good+Time.htm

And finally, while I feel really, really odd about mentioning my own fic, this one got a really good response. I recently posted a SGA/Quantum Leap crossover. It's a one-shot, but there may be a followup in the future, as the muse strikes. It's called, "In the Waiting Room", and can be found here:

SG crossovers

From: [identity profile] thymidinekinase.livejournal.com
The first three were the ones I was going to suggest. :-) Also have a look at Tassos's fanfiction.net page - s/he has an enchanting in-progress Atlantis/Farscape cross (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2683551/1/) (warning: there's a cute kid) and a completed SG1/Farscape cross, "Pathways" (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1345146/1/).

Ummm... author "acs" on TTH has a series of Dawn-centred drabbles that cross Highlander and SG1. http://www.tthfanfic.com/Story-7732/acs+And+Death+did+not+stop.htm

Marcus Rowland (on TTH) wrote "The Key to Byzantium", which I seem to recall I enjoyed. http://www.tthfanfic.com/Story-5220/MarcusRowland+The+Key+to+Byzantium.htm. Basically, the tattoo'ed dead monks and warriors from GloryWar get temporarily mistaken for dead Jaffa.

There was a Voyager/SG1 crossover I read a while back, but don't recall much about except for Paris and O'Neil trading a movie reference. I enjoyed it despite the non-congruent universes.

Hee. I read your SG/QL crossover a few days ago and it's great. I love Cadman's poise. I'll certainly be putting it up on my recs. And thanks for the hint on A Hacking Good Time. I love Kei's stuff, and Red having fun like this always makes me gleeful :)

If you want slash ...

Crusade in Jeans (http://www.wraithbait.com/viewstory.php?sid=5877) is amazing by Mystic. It's Sheppard/McKay/O'Neill - so technically it's a crossover of SG1 and SGA. :)

It's very well-written and enjoyable .. let's just say the get to be teenagers again. :)

There's also the Wormhole Crossing (http://sgxover.hugosnebula.com/) - a repository for SG1/SGA crossovers.

Twisting the Hellmouth (http://www.tthfanfic.com/) has a lot a few good SG1 crossovers with BtVS.

I'm not actually sure if the crossover category of the rec comm allows for SGA/SG1 crossovers (I should look into that) but thanks for the Wormhole Crossing link. Yet another place to stick my SGA crossovers!

Also, the Neighbours from Hell(mouth) (http://www.tthfanfic.com/Series-81) series by Booster is a really good. Three one shots (really funny) and the fourth is still a WIP, I do believe.

It's kind of a drive-by thing, I saw this by going through the FL of [livejournal.com profile] sga_flashfic, but I reccomend going here. (http://www.ltljverse.com/watergate/seriesindex.htm) It's a crossover between SG-1 and SGA and it's one of the best set of stories, not just crossovers, that I've seen in the fandom.

It's slightly AU as it is written with the premise that the SGA team has not had contact with Earth since they arrived in Atlantis.

I highly reccomend it.

Hey Mhalachai.
I don't know how much you like anime, but there is a great Gundam Wing/SG-1 crossover by Vathara on FFN.net called Upon a Fiery Steed. She does a great job of blending both worlds and explaining the genetic changes that make the GW guys so unique. She also writes a really great Daniel POV. Here's the link http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1792282/1/
and the summary: Daniel. Duo. Two trouble magnets, one very unlucky System Lord...

I don't think anyone has recc'ed Bodyguard Buffy on tth yet. By PaBurke if I recall correctly. Very funny, with Buffy being Dr Jackson's bodyguard after the Stargate program goes public. Very good characterisations, but not complete yet.

Its not a crossover, but the Barista series by dietcokechic is excellent, she's also writing a sequel to it. www.dietcokechic.com

"Are you Ready?" is a very good (uncomplete) Buffy/SG1 crossover by DonSample
http://www.tthfanfic.com/Story-7705/DonSample+Are+You+Ready.htm

"Far Beyond Normal" by jAkL is excellent and complete. Gets a little preachy in the middle, but is well worth perservering with. A darker version of the Stargate universe, Buffy-centric. The final action sequence is incredible!

I second both Vathara's "Upon a Fiery Steed" (possibly the most brilliant crossover writer I've ever read - and this particular one is one of her best) and Kei's "Trick or Treat".

I'll also throw in "Variance of Luck" by Cairis Rin (at FFN), the only MacGyver/SG1 I've thought to be truly well done. The premise and buildup are just lovely, and the pseudo-science quite believeable (to me). I found the ending a bit rushed, but the rest was a real fun read.

SGAtlantis series rec

Ok, this isn't a crossover but it's got some wonderful John/Rodney interaction.

Told from the POVs of John & Rodney (with occasional 'guest' POVs from the local quack & a bootlegging Check). An established J/R relationship but with plenty of recollections on how they got together & how they 'came out'.
