A fic I want to write but have no time.

I have in my head, in crystal detail, another setting for an Anita Blake/Supernatural crossover I want to write. I even have the first line in my head. However, I'm not letting myself tackle this until I finish the other AB/SPN crossover.

Plot bunny details:

Title: La Vie de la Mort (or something suitablely cheesy)
Characters: Anita Blake, John Winchester
Premise: After his deal with the Demon, John's a disembodied spirit. Anita's a necromancer. Sixth Sense, anyone?
Genre: Angsty, character study, longish (~30,000 words)

First line:

The first time Anita Blake saw John Winchester, she didn't realize that he was dead.

If I can find the time, and if I don't get bored with this idea, I really want to write this one.

Actually, I think that Anita and John would get along great. They both have enormous issues about protection and family, and priorities. They're uncomprimising and stubborn and carry the weight of the world on their shoulders. It'll be fun :D

That would be great! Anita and John in the same room...that would be interesting considering all of their baggage they always carry around with them. And with John being dead and everything.

I want to have the time, but I have so much on the go right now, and I want to finish *something* this year.

Interesting. Yes, if you find time you absolutely must write this. I don't watch Supernatural on a regular basis but I know enough to follow your stories :)

Well, I've been poking about a couple of the VM/BtVS crossovers at TTH. None of them are actually good. They have to potential to be good - the plots are interesting - but the writing's horrible. You just happen to be very, very good at crossovers I didn't believe anyone could actually make work well. Thus the question. But, you really don't seem to need another fandom :) Even if it's a really good one.
