The highlight of my yesterday was when I was sitting on a patio in Yaletown (that's in Vancouver) and Jason Momoa walked past. That man's hair is amazing.

I'm not going to have a chance to get any more writing done between now and next Saturday (another crazy 60 hour week and my massive deadline), but then I'm on vacation for a week (yay!) and I can finally settle down to some good old-fashioned writing.

So, over the next week, you can rest assured there's writing coming soon. (Plus I might get some drabbling done)

Oh, and have some SGA fanfic, in which I once again torture John Sheppard.

War and Peace
The [livejournal.com profile] sga_flashfic Secret Superpowers Challenge

Character: John Sheppard
Genre: Gen, angst
Setting/Spoilers: Minor spoilers up to Sateda. Setting is pre-series up to the middle of season one.
Rating: PG for cussing
Word count: 1,361
Note: I always thought John's personal item, his copy of War and Peace, deserved a guest starring role. One line from Rising, written by the wonderful Brad Wright and Robert C. Cooper. Yes, this is my second go at this challenge, but it's just too shiny to give up.

( John didn't read anymore. Not when he could get away without it )

Interesting premise, interesting backstory for the character - is that canon? I don't pay enough attention to these things. Your Sheppard-voice, much like your everyone-you-write voice, is dead on.

We know zip about John's background. He's made noises about not having any family at all, so the entire Internets has fun with his lack of backstory.

Of course, I'm still hankering for my Harry Potter=John Sheppard idea. Ahem.

And thank you :D

Sure thing, friend away :) I'll friend you back in a bit (computer woes; long and boring story)

Really meant to comment on this before I lost computer access, but alas, I couldn't. So, I'll do it now. I loved the fic. I always thought precognition would be an awesome power, if annoying since you couldn't do anything about what you saw.

Did you say anything to Jason Momoa? You're right. His hair is amazing. I'd love to meet someone from Stargate or Stargate: Atlantis. I almost went to university in BC just so I could maybe get the chance to. My parents met Christopher Judge though. He made dinner for them.

Thanks :) I loved the idea of John being able to see the future but not being able to change it. It's like the worst kind of superpower. I have a slight followup... that one day I might write.

No, Jason Momoa was far away and I was only able to oggle his hair (and hawt bod) from afar. You should read David Hewlett's blog, at http://davidhewlett.blogspot.com/, because he's hilarious :D

I hear Chris Judge is a crack-up, and quite the clubber. Of course, I hear this from Amanda Tapping on a dvd extra, who is my secret TV girlfriend. Oh, Amanda. She's just so cute.
