My default icon, I think the one I've actually had the longest. It's one of the very few non-fannish icons I have. It's just... beautiful.

Oh, Firefly. The craziness of that show and those people and the world... just great. Also, I love pie and would also vote yes.

Ahem. Well, I don't think it's a secret to anyone who reads this LJ that I've drifted away from the Anita Blake books in recent times, not really being interested in the directions the books are taking. And sometimes, frankly, one needs to raise the eyebrows at the AB world.

Yes, it's a crappy icon (it's mine) but the image quality of the only tiny Michelle Trachenbug picture I could locate on the Internet was low and B&W (you'd think with all her time on All My Children as Lily Montgomery there'd be some promo pics or something). Any story with mini!Dawn needs a mini!Dawn icon. Also, I like to have home-made icons for the big epic stories. A bit of branding, as it were.

We love our SGA boys, and this is a light fluffy picture of John being a goof. Even though it's from a pretty dreary scene in a dreary show.

Harry Potter looking confused. A typical state of affairs for our boy. This is sort of how I picture him on the platform in that scene in Inevitable, trying to figure out how to say goodbye to Anita and seeing Reece for the first time. And being confused.

Jack O'Neill questions your bullshit. He's always been one of my very fave SG1 characters. Which is why I had to bring him back for Physics of the Spin. Jack O'Neill, the voice of reason. Say that over in your head a few times.

Jack Harkness also questions your bullshit. I'm starting to sense a theme in my icons picks. IT's good for that level of WTFery that Torchwood brings on.

Ziva David is awesome. Her character on NCIS is so fascinating. She could be a total hard-ass, but they've given her a good backstory and have shown us how she has a heart, how she's still struggling like the rest of us, and even though she's being written to have a crush on her partner, she's professional about it. Thank you, NCIS writers, for Ziva David. Plus, she's hot like burning.

Donna Noble for president. Really. I'd vote Catherine Tate into office any day of the week. Twice on Sundays.
